We got back to the hotel all in one piece. The
Civil Affairs Office is small and very hot. I don't
know how the people work in there! We will return
there tomorrow for a two-hour session that will make
the adoption official and then apply for Olivia's
passport, which we should have on Friday.
Sorry this will be short as Roger and Olivia are
already asleep (9:00pm) and I need to follow very
soon. This being a parent stuff is really exhausting!
:-)
Olivia is just wonderful! Very small, very untrusting of
everyone but me. She did let Daddy give her a bedtime
bottle, but as soon as it was finished she began to
cry and reach for me. I just took her to her crib,
laid her down and rubbed her back. Roger laid on
the bed next to the crib and in about 3 minutes she
was out. All of the babies from BengBu have some type of
congestion and some even have really bad coughs!
Olivia only has the chest congestion with a cough once
in a while. I gave her some children's tylenol cold this morning.
It seemed to help so I gave her another dose right
before she went to sleep.
We have gotten a few really cute smiles and laughs
from her as the day went on.
Please pray for Olivia and the other babies' health!
It would help all of us parents feel a lot better too.
Love from China,
RR and O |
