Well we have been home now a little over a month.  Wow!  Seems like it was yesterday that we were sitting in the middle of the nursery, trying to pack, plan, and not get too stressed about our upcoming trip to China.  Time sure flies!

Roger went back to work the Monday after we returned.  He was tired, but glad to be home.  I was so glad that my sister and her family were able to stay with us for a few days after we arrived home and Roger returned to work. I really needed the help and their company is always FUN! We will miss them as they are now stationed in New York for the next year.

I started back to school on August 7th, so Shunnie (Olivia) started daycare the Friday before that.

Shunnie had a good first day at daycare.  She even took a 45 minute nap.  That was the first day - the second day was not so great.  Roger had a dentist and doctor's appointment that morning and it was my last day before I needed to be back to school full time, so I dropped her off.  Before I even walked out the door, the crying and screaming started.  I kissed her and said, "Mommy loves you and I will be back soon."  I then had to put on my teacher face, turned around and just kept walking!  She wouldn't nap so the director walked (carried) her around awhile and she finally took a 45-minute nap.  She also fell and bumped her head hard enough to make a little bruise.  She was standing at the top of the foam climbing area and slipped.  I tell you, this one has no fear and if told "No," she will go at it with even more determination than she started with.

Here at home she has turned our house upside down.  Even Draco heads for bed the minute Shunnie goes down for the night!  Shunnie is just so strong!  She can move the kitchen chairs all by herself and pulls out the socket protectors with no problem. I have to use a butter knife to get them out.

She is sleeping through the night in her crib, in the nursery! Yay! She is learning to use a sippy cup and a spoon.  She is like a sponge.  You can see her taking in every word that you say.  Her understanding of the English language is just amazing.  You can tell her to do simple things and she can complete the task with no trouble.  We are so proud of all the adjustments that she has made in this short amount of time.  She is also growing like a weed and will be up to size in no time.  We can't wait till she starts to talk.  We so wonder what her voice will sound like. We are really so blessed by our BengBu Beauty.

We hope you enjoyed the newest pictures!  I will add another update around the Holidays.  Maybe I will be able to think a little clearer by then!

With love,
Ranata, Roger, and Shunnie (Olivia)
