NORTH KOREAN REFUGEES FLOWN TO FREEDOM IN SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA
26 FROM SOUTH KOREAN AND CANADIAN EMBASSIES LEAVE
After more than a month of watching North Korean refugees sneak into the South Korean Embassy in Beijing and futilely demanding that South Korea give them back Communist China finally allowed the refugees safe passage into Beijing (CNN).  By the time the so-called Peoples Republic allowed for the refugees to get to freedom, two dozen were in the South Korean Embassy, two in the Canadian Embassy.

Communist China, as a matter of policy, sends any North Korean refugee it finds back to its Stalinist ally, where nearly two million have starved to death.  The massive famine and political repression which have combined to lead the North Korean government to steal international food aid from its won people have led thousands to hide in the PRC.  Also reporting:

Among those allowed to leave was a man taken from the South Korean Embassy by Communist police (
BBC).  A South Korean embassy staffer was injured in the scuffle last week (see last NK Report).  The Washington Post noted that some within Communist China were worried that this action could lead to more refugees looking to escape, and possibly even bring down North Koreas regime.  Can we be so lucky?

DESPERATE NORTH KOREANS FORCED TO SURVIVE ON GRASS
The situation in North Korea is now so desperate that those trapped in the famine-ridden Stalinist regime are in search of edible grasses in a battle for survival (CNN).  The United Nations World Food Programme used the horrifying stories to push for more donations from the rest of the world (BBC) never mentioning reports of its food aid having been stolen from the people by the regime to feed itself.

ANALYSTS RIP BUSH POLICY ON NORTH KOREA
Various foreign policy analysts told Cybercast News that President Bush policy on North Korea has failed.  The analysts are upset at President Bush including the Stalinist regime in the axis of evil earlier this year.  None, however, addressed the fact that the labeling has yet to come with any change of policy, including the deal to build two nuclear power plants in the North.

VICTOR DAVIS HANSON WARNS AGAINST NAIVETE ON NORTH KOREA AND OTHERS
Victor Davis Hanson, in National Review Online, rips nave policymakers for their trust in tyrannical regimes such as North Korea.

Stop the Nuclear Power Deal:
The United States is building two nuclear power plants in North Korea while the Stalinist regime refuses to let us inspect their nuclear weapons program to verify they have halted it as required in the deal.  Use the fact sheet to tell the President to end the deal.

Sign the Boycott Petition:
In reaction to the 2008 Olympic Games being awarded to Beijing, the China e-Lobby has begun a petition for an American boycott of those games.

Theres still time to
contact the President and tell him not to appoint pro-PRC Doug Paal as de facto ambassador to Taiwan.  See Follow-Up for more on Paal.
