Link of the Week
Mark Snelling, BBC, writes
a profile on Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung Chee-hwa who said he would take an almost certain appointment to a second term by a Communist-vetted committee of 800.  Snelling details Tungs tenure during which he urged democrats to forget the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre   and notes the widely held belief the Communists bailed out Tungs firm in the 1980s.

The Next Communist Chinese Massacre?

Elisabeth Rosenthal, of
The New York Times highlights the Communist-created AIDS epidemic in Henan province, and the battle victims are fighting with rural Communists who profited handsomely from the unsanitary blood drive that caused the epidemic just for recognition, let alone medical care.  The Communists deny everything, and detain any victims who try to tell the outside world.  (Part 1, Part 2).  The web site for The New York Times does not require a fee, but one does have to register with them.
