I also got the roll-call on the closest amendment vote, this was for an amendment calling on President Clinton to urge the PRC to stop forced abortions as part of its "one child" policy: http://www.senate.gov/legislative/vote1062/vote_00243.html; this vote was 53-43. A Yes vote was for the amendment. "The sooner this debate ends, the quicker senators will be able to stop voting against principles they claim to uphold." E.J.
