| In response to the membership, the China e-Lobby is pleased to announced the first edition of . . . THE NORTH KOREA REPORT: APRIL 8, 2002 NORTH KOREA LIMITS U.S. TALKS TO NUCLEAR POWER PLANT DEAL ISSUES North Korea limited their plans for talks with the U.S. to issues related to construction of two nuclear power plants as part of the 1994 deal that supposedly led to the Stalinist regime ending its nuclear weapons program (Washington Post). American calls for broader talks remains unrequited. The U.S. has still maintained the deal despite the Communist Chinese allys refusal to follow it (see last update). NORTH KOREA AGREES TO TALKS AND FAMILY REUNION MEETINGS WITH SOUTH North Korea agreed with have 100 families divided by the Korean War reunite but only temporarily after talks with South Korean envoy Lim Dong-won last week (BBC). The Stalinist regime also agreed to talks with the South on tourism, economic co-operation, and a Korean-wide railroad. The Los Angeles Times also reported on the agreement, and the fact the an American envoy would soon begin talks with North Korea on concerns that the Communist nation is developing weapons of mass destruction. That would be in violation of the aforementioned nuclear power plant deal, the only issue about which the Stalinist regime has agreed to talk with the U.S. Stop the Nuclear Power Deal: The United States is building two nuclear power plants in North Korea while the Stalinist regime refuses to let us inspect their nuclear weapons program to verify they have halted it as required in the deal. Tell the President to end the deal. Sign the Boycott Petition: In reaction to the 2008 Olympic Games being awarded to Beijing, the China e-Lobby has begun a petition for an American boycott of those games.
