I finally got a scanner (as a birthday present from my brother), and guess what happens? I can't use it!!!
Why not you ask? Well, let's find out! (3 licks to the center of a Tootise Roll Pop)
My computer, my poor li'l aka-chan, --even though I love it dearly-- is about three years older than dirt. We got it back somewhere in the depths of 1992 or 3, and it's just been here ever since. Kinda like Bartleby. (Ever read that story? Good stuff.) It's crashed on us two or three times since we got it, but get a new one? No, of course not. Just replace the system in the old one. ([Sniffle] I remember the day we got Windows95, [Wipes at a tear] I was so happy.)
Anyway... well, I'm sure you can imagine the mess of wires in the back of my tower. So, lo and behold, as I sift through it all happily (a few minutes after recieving my wonderfully brand-spanking-new scanner), I find that we are missing a vital piece. Do you know what a USB port is? That's what connects the scanner to the compu. Guess what we don't have? A FRICKIN' USB PORT!!! So here I am, about a month after my birthday, still as scanner-less as I was before. It's just sitting there. About maybe four feet behind me... mocking me. My dad said we'd get a port. ...I'm waiting. (So the coloring page is still on hold.) [Sigh] What did I ever do to deserve this?
