Background: Daughter of Susan Hightower and Shawn Kinkade. Susan was a Lawyer, and Shawn was a renouned Egyptologist. Because her fathers work took him all over the world, she traveled with him, placed in many schools for the long term archeological digs, but mostly had a live-in tutor named Laura Jensen.

Samanthas I.Q is that of a genius, though not as high as Lucas. She cant say her g.p.a has never been broken. Just hard to beat.

She was never a social butterfly, but gets along well with people. She made a few friends over the InterNEX and in real life. Her SN is Madhattyr.

Her relationship with her parents was sketchy because of their inability to be in the same place at the same time with her. They set one week out of the year to be together as a family. That was the extent of it.

She loves coffee. Any and all forms of coffee.

She collects hats and has one very used stripped one that was from the year 2003. Much like her sneekers, she cant seem to part with it.

Samantha spent four years in Egypt with her father before he sent her to Berkley at age 14 in hopes that she would follow in his footsteps. Samantha had other plans. Archeology was an interest of hers, but she possessed more of a love for the ocean, and a skill with computers. She graduated at age 16. She was the top of her class with a major in Oceanography--marine mammal sciences, and a minor in Applied Sciences of Artificial inteligence. She also dabbled in music and learned to play the guitar.

Over the next two years, her love for the ocean found her working at the Monterey Bay Aquarium as one of the dive staff, Hawaii Institue of Oceanography as an intern, and finally at the Caicos Key Dolphin Research Center where she pursued her real love, dolphins. Because of her apitude with the cetaceans, she quickly gained the respect of the other research staff under Malcolm Landsdowne. She proved to be a valuable asset to him, though a teenage trial at the same time. She helped to develope a code for the UEO using dolphin clicks and whistles in patterns rather than words like the vocorder. Thanks to Darwins visit at the center for heath reasons involving a black smoker, their knowledge expanded and it was renamed the Darwin Code. The project was highly classified. Only a small team, and Admiral Noyce knew about it.

Samantha was sent to the SeaQuest a week after Darwins return. Landsdowne caught her using Naythral--a drug that enhaces oxygen in the blood--and knew she needed to be someplace monitered. Her own father wouldnt take her do to his inability to watch her.

Landsdown thought it would be a great way for her to broaden her education, use her knowledge and skills to benifit the crew, and be in a stable diciplined atmosphere (a.k.a. Called in a few favors at once). More than once, hes had to repremand her for her disregard of the rules.

Body Marks: She has a dark birthmark on the small of her back, and a small scar on her left hand.

Nicknames: Sam, Squeaks (origionated back in high school), Madhattyr (InterNEX sn).

Loves: Rollerblading, the ocean, dolphins, coffee, hats, silver, midnight swims with Darwin, walking the ship barefoot.

Hates: Spiders, roaches, fleet rations, closed in spaces, not being in control.

Crew Relations:
Captain Bridger--Hes authoritative, but shes comfortable with him and he quickly gained her trust.

Tim ONeill--Good friends through similiar intersts, such as archeology, and the Gaelic language. Sorta has a little tiny crush on him.

Miguel Ortiz: She thinks hes hot, and hes a joker with her--like a little sister.

Kristin Westphalen--Gets along well as friends and co-workers.

Lucas Wolenczak--................ eh....they have simliarities, but the teenage battles are frequent, and he can get very annoying. They never actualy sat down and talked until after this event. They're good friends since then.

Kathrine Hitchcock--Is on speaking terms, respects her abilities.

Chief Crocker--He can put her in the brig, so she respects him, but she thinks hes nice in that grandpa seadog kinda way.

Commander Ford---Whats to say? He doesnt like kids on board. She stears clear of him, but their raport is alright. She loves to irritate him.

Where is she?
Anywhere on the SeaQuest. Mostly you can find her on Sea Deck, or in one of the many labs.
