Character Sheet

The people and places of Itara. What they're about, what they're like, and what they have to live with. Choose one, if you like.

Species

Humans: Most numerous species on Itara. We all know what they look like...or at least I hope so.

Elves: Tall, lithe beings with long pointed ears, and angular features. Excelent vision and marksmanship. Near extinction.

Tamians: Blue skinned people with long, hairless tails, and white or brown hair. Average hight of humans. Excelent agility and hearing. Water Tamians have webbed hands and feet, and use echolocation. Unknown on Itara for centuries.

Dwarves: Four to five feet tall, stocky people with large hands and feet. Good with anything metal or rock. Have the strongest ale known on Itara. Love to fight. Men grow beards, women keep their hair long. Caught if otherwise, and punished.

Gendri: Four and a half feet tall humanoids with slightly pointed ears and curious nature. Look like twelve year old kids, and act fear-free and careless. Packrats who are attracted to shiny objects. They always replace one item with a previously stolen item. Excelent at finding things. Life span of thirty years. Could be a long lost relative of the Dwarf.

Svori: Demons from a land across the Solaric ocean called Shakavrinach, or the Shadows Hell. They appear human, but have black hair, gold and purple ringed eyes with cat-like pupils, a thin layer of scales around the eyes, and dark blue accidic blood that eats away anything it comes in contact with. Even their own skin to a degree. They see any other race as inferior to themselves, and hold a deep hatred for magi.

Sprites: Six inch tall, mischievious winged creatures. Humanoid with pointed ears. They come as Fire Sprite, Water Sprite, Air Sprite, Wood Sprite, and Earth Sprite. Each has magic in their own field; i.e. water, fire, air, wood, earth.

Fairies: Whispy beings with the magic to change to look human and hide their wings. They arent much taller than their cousins, the Sprites, and also have pointed ears. What makes them different is their more friendly nature, their higher magic level, and their care of the natural world. Near Extinction.

Gnomes: They actualy look like garden gnomes. Fast talking, two feet tall beings that can live just about anywhere. Concidered more annoying than the Gendri.

Pnai: Humans gifted in strong natural magic ability. Most powerful magic race on Itara, and possibly, Cyre. Can hold as much as two main gifts; i.e lightning and healing. To have more than two is rare. Only the Ihanar holds a piece of each gift of the Pnai, can --not only use--but create light, and destroy darkness. All have an incredible immune system. Thats why it took the Svori nearly thirty years to kill them all. Thought to be Extinct.

Griffins: Creatures with the body of a lion, and the head and wings of an Eagle. Thought to be Extinct.

Dragons: Large winged reptiles. Came in brown, silver, and blue. Thought to be Extinct on Itara.

Centaurs: Half man, half horse. Origionate on Maurolosha, an island off the eastern coast of Yitan. They acted much like the Elves when the Svori came, and after loosing too many of their number to the Svori in battles with the Resistance, fled back to their home. Only a few roam Itara. Largly a minority, even to the extent of mythical creatures by the Humans. They love to hunt, celebrate, and teach. Some of the most famouse teaches in Itaran history were Centaurs.

Beliefs: Gods and Goddesses
Livanthia, the goddess of the moons, is the main deity in Itaran beliefs. They believe the dead are lead by her to the moon of Talee, where they live in a place like heaven called the city of Isolis iAllyn. Her statues portray her as The Mother; long silver hair the color of Yonea, a silver and blue liquid gown, eyes manifested of the deepest blue ocean with light of the moons, and the body of a dancer. Her eyes are often shown in drawings and carvings over the symbol of the Pnai. The other races on Itara each have their own circle of deities, but out of them all, Livanthia is equivilent to God, or Zeus.

Their hell is in the deepest abyss of the earth, called Noltach. It is supposedly ruled by Tochravanthis. Some believe he escaped the depths of Noltach to wage war on the goddess and rule both Isolis iAllyn and Noltach, and the mortal world inbetween. Others know that the Svori come from across the sea, and worship Tochravanthis as this deity. The God of war.

Niviath -Lesser God of the Elves. Livanthias right hand. The warrior goddess. She wears battle armor of gold and rides a griffon Her hair is light brown and curly, and flows behind her like a cloak. Her headress carries the symbol of Livanthia, and her griffons name is Dyntu. The Warriors of Yitan look to this Goddess as their inspiration.
