Project Pokemon Chimera by Mewtwo Lady. <" ">: Thoughts [" "]: Telepathic communication TR: Team Rocket ------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 5: Taking a Blind Turn Cara had been walking for half an hour or so, when she was confronted by two TR members. TR member #1 said, "So you thought you could scare us that easily. We won't scare that easily." Cara thought for a few minutes back to the last day of the chase and then recognized who they were. Then Cara was floating a foot or so from the ground and had the most intense flames surrounding her. "As you know, I have stepped up in my exercise and I am starting to combine my Pokemon powers. So you still want to see what a Psychic and Fire Pokemon power can do?" The two TR members idiotically nodded their heads. Cara let loose the energy ball and the two went flying, but before it hit them, one of the TR members threw a pouch with something in it at her and it hit her. As Mewtwo picked up the pouch and Cara up, he flew as fast as he could go. As Mewtwo kept on flying Cara said, "There is a town nearby, we can stop there." When they got near to the town, Mewtwo stopped, looked at Cara and said ["Cara, are you alright?"] Cara coughed for a bit and said, "I am all right - whatever they threw at me didn't do any damage. Although I believe that you should wash my eyes - I got some of that powder in my eyes." Mewtwo took the water bag and washed her eyes with it. Then Cara opened eyes and was unable to see anything. Cara rubbed her eyes and looked again and said, "I am blind. I can't see anything." Mewtwo went over to Cara and checked her eyes and said, ["I don't see anything wrong them. We have to find a Pokemon Center and get you treated there."] As Cara and the others went into the town, Mewtwo said, ["This place has seen better times. It is like everyone left in a hurry. Even if we find a Pokemon Center and somebody is there, how can we tell them that you need treatment?"] Cara replied, "If there is anybody at the Pokemon Center. We will think of something." Mewtwo was leading Cara so that she wouldn't get hurt or something by bumping into anything. Finally Cara had found the Pokemon Center, only to find it empty as the rest of the places in town. As Mewtwo was looking for something to help Cara, they heard something. All, but Cara, got ready to attack whatever was coming that made that sound, then they heard it, it said "Chansey." Everybody started to relax when they found out that a Chansey was in the Pokemon Center. After looking for a few minutes Mewtwo said, ["I haven't found anything to help you, but I have found a Vid-phone. I will get the phone number that Professor Oak gave us from your backpack."] "Chansey?" Chansey had met many Pokemon, but nothing like Mewtwo. Mewtwo replied, ["Don't try to figure me out. If you want to help - how about helping my friend there, you cann wash her eyes and bandage them."] Pointing to Cara... Chansey nodded and replied "Chansey!" in a slightly singsong voice. In a few minutes Chansey brought a trolley with eye wash solution and a small assortment of bandages and pads. After Chansey had washed and bandaged her eyes, Chansey looked at Cara and was starting to get concerned. When Mewtwo got the phone number to Professor Oak, he dialed the number and waited for Professor Oak to answer the phone. "Hello, who is it?" Answered Professor Oak. Mewtwo took a deep breath and said, ["Hi, Professor Oak."] Professor Oak looked at Mewtwo in shock and said, "I didn't expect for you to call me so soon. Why have you called me?" Mewtwo replied ["Shortly after we had left you, a couple of TR members came to us and foolishly asked to see her psy-fire ball, but before it connected with them, one of them threw something to her and now she is blind." Mewtwo chuckled a bit and said ["You should had seen how far they went. Those two hit the horizon in seconds and they were still going when we left them."] Cara then coughed a bit. Professor Oak replied, "Do you still have some of the stuff that they threw at her?" Mewtwo showed the pouch containing the powder and said, ["You'd better be careful with it. Who knows what it has in it?"] Professor Oak replied, "Good. Now there should be a transporter next to the Vid-phone. I want you to place the pouch in a Pokeball on it, and transport it to me. I will examine it and see if I can make an antidote from it." As the others waited for the phone to ring, Chansey had washed Cara's eyes and had bandaged them. It was during that time that they found out what had happened to the town. About 2 1/2 months ago the person who was setting up this town had suddenly left. Shortly after that, partly because the money was drying up, the town folks decided to leave the town. The other reason was that some rogue Pokemon was attacking the town. But because of that, Chansey got left behind in all of the confusion and Chansey did the only thing that she could do. She put herself into a Pokeball and only came out when she heard some noise caused by them. It was then that Cara was starting to cough a bit more. "Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring, Phone Call, Phone Call." "Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring, Phone Call, Phone Call." Mewtwo went to the phone and answered it. ["Hello, Professor Oak. Got any good news for us?"] Professor Oak answered, "Yes, I have found out what was in it. I am making the antidote for Cara as we speak. It should be ready in a few minutes" As Mewtwo and Professor Oak were talking, Cara's coughing got a lot worse, and she was starting to have trouble breathing. Chansey immediately listened to her chest and frantically went to the back and told Mewtwo what was going on. Professor Oak heard all the commotion and asked, "What is going on?" Mewtwo answered, ["You better make the antidote for her lungs as well. I believe that Cara had inhaled some of that powder and from what I can gather Chansey is going to get something to help her to breathe."] In a short while Chansey had came back with an oxygen tank, placed the mask on her face and turned the valve. As the oxygen flowed into her, Cara's breathing became a bit easier. Mewtwo breathed a sigh of relief and said to Professor Oak, ["How long will it take to make both of the antidote? Also, what was in that stuff?"] Professor Oak answered, "The powder contained several different poisons. The mixture isn't strong enough to kill anyone, but will severely incapacitate anyone. A person hit by it would be paralyzed for a few hours or possibly for a day or two. The antidote for her eyes is almost ready. I will start making the antidote for her lungs. I would like to tell you that her eyesight would immediately return, but it should take a few days. The part of the poison paralyses nerves and if enough came in contact with her eyes it will take a while before all the effects of the poison will be gone. I will phone you again, when they are both finished." Then Professor Oak hanged up the phone. After a while Mewtwo hung up the phone, he went over to Cara and started to rummage through her backpack. After a minute or two, Mewtwo got what he was looking for - food for everyone. As everyone was given the food, Mewtwo decided to help Cara eat her food, by feeding her. As Mewtwo was about to feed her, she slapped his hand and she replied though the mask, "I am blind, but I can still feed myself. I will find a way to manage." After they had almost finished eating, that's when the phone had rang again; Cara got up and went towards the phone, only she forgot that she had the oxygen mask on her and she didn't get far. If Mewtwo didn't stop her, Cara would have gotten hurt. Mewtwo tugged on the hose that attached the mask to the tank and Cara realized that she was inches from hanging herself. Mewtwo answered the phone and said, ["From what I gathered from our last conversation, you have finished both of the antidotes."] Professor Oak replied, "Indeed, I have. Now here is the instruction for both of the antidotes. For the eye drops, put two drops in each eye three times a day. In a few days, Cara should have her eyesight back. For Cara's lungs, tell her to take in a deep breath and as she is doing that, I want somebody to spray it in. That should get rid of any of the powder that is in Cara's lungs. If it doesn't I want somebody to give Cara another dose in about 4 hours from now. I am surprised that Nurse Joy is helping her and hasn't asked too many questions." Mewtwo replied, ["There isn't a Nurse Joy in here, the only one helping us is a Chansey."] Professor Oak was surprised at what Mewtwo had told him. Mewtwo also told him what had happened to the town and how Chansey got left behind and that she had been alone since then. Professor Oak sighed for a moment and said, "I will try to find where Nurse Joy is and have Chansey reunited with her. I am be sending the antidotes to you now." Chansey was jumping up and down when she heard what Professor Oak had said. After the antidotes had been transported and Mewtwo had hung up the phone, he handed them to Chansey and said, ["You have more experience with this, than I do."] The first thing that Chansey did was to remove the bandages and put the drops into Cara's eyes. Then she put back the bandages back on and then Chansey took off the oxygen mask and gave Cara the spray for her lungs. Within a moment or two Cara felt better, then she started to cough again, only the coughing was a lot worse. At one moment Mewtwo thought of giving Cara the oxygen again, only to be stopped by Chansey. After Cara had finally stopped coughing, Chansey listened to her lungs again. Cara then said, "I believe that the coughing was to get rid of the poison that was in my lungs. I finally can breath easier." As the day wore on Cara was starting to get bored. So she decided to walk around. When Mewtwo saw her walking, he said, ["Do you want any help."] Mewtwo got his answer: Cara stopped a few inches from the desk. Chansey went to Cara and Cara answered, "I have been in enough Pokemon Centers to know where everything is. I am going out to get some fresh air." Then Cara went out of the doors. Mewtwo followed Cara shortly after, after Mewtwo had stopped Pikachu and Mew from following them. After Cara had walked a fair distance, she sighed and said, "I know that you have been following me. If you want to know I am using Zubat to find my way around. They can see with sounds." Mewtwo replied, ["I kind of figured that out when you didn't hit the desk back there in the Pokemon Center. Luckily this blindness is temporary and you should be able to see in a few days. When you got you eyesight back, we will go and see if the compound that held you prisoner is nearby."] Cara turned around to Mewtwo, and then clenched her fist and tried to hit Mewtwo, only he put up a barrier to stop her. It still didn't matter; Cara still kept on hitting the barrier until she was exhausted. Cara slumped onto the forest floor, then Mewtwo came to her and hugged her and said, ["From what we heard from Chansey, it is more than likely that the compound is nearby, besides if it is the compound it has been standing there for over 2 months, a few more days won't hurt."] Cara while still on the ground, trembled a bit, hugged Mewtwo back, and replied, "It isn't that. I thought I had gotten over what Giovanni and the others had done to me. I haven't had a nightmare since I left my home. I thought that talking about it, with you guys and my parents helped me get over it. But when I had heard what had happened here, I remembered what had happened to me and all the bad memories came flooding back. I needed to get rid of my anger and so I took it out on you. Thanks. The reason I didn't lose my temper is because I also felt so calm when Chansey was near me. I think that is why any Chansey make excellent partners with any Nurse Joy." Mewtwo answered, ["No need to ask for thanks. You and Mew have done a lot for me. I still can lose my anger, but I am over my hatred of people. You remember what I told you when Mew and I met."] Cara weakly nodded, ["Besides, Mew taught me how to laugh and you have taught me tenacity. Despite everything that has happened you haven't given up."] Cara, still hugging Mewtwo, answered softly, "My parents told me, what doesn't kill you will make you stronger. You know what I am starting to feel a bit better. Let's go back to the Pokemon Center." Mewtwo stopped hugging Cara, picked her up and proceeded to carry her back to Pokemon Center. When they got back, Chansey was worried when she saw Mewtwo carrying Cara. Mewtwo motioned that everything was OK, only that Cara was just emotionally exhausted and that he was going to take her to bed. Before Mewtwo got to the sleeping quarters, Chansey stopped him, took off the bandages, gave Cara her eye drops and put the bandages back on. When Chansey was finished, Mewtwo went to the sleeping quarters, and gently tucked Cara into a bed. Pikachu and Mew came shortly afterwards and the trio went to their usual sleeping spots with Cara, and Cara had a very peaceful sleep that night. The next day... Chansey had almost had given Cara her eye drops and changed the bandages, but what she did instead was go to Mewtwo. Chansey told Mewtwo that she was going to teach him how to put the eye drops in and to put on and change bandages. Chansey told Mewtwo that he was the best for doing it, because Pikachu and Mew's paws were too small to handle the bottle and could make a mess with the bandages. Mewtwo learned quickly how to do it and he did the eye drops and had changed the bandages for Cara. After that Mewtwo thought for a while and then asked Chansey if she could teach him if not everything that she knows, almost everything that she knows. Chansey agreed. Mewtwo told Chansey, he would start after he helped Cara with her exercise. Mewtwo went to the backpack and looked for the food and found out that they were almost out of food. It was then that Chansey came up with food for everyone. Cara then thought if Chansey was left behind, maybe some food might also be left. "Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring, Phone Call, Phone Call." "Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring, Phone Call, Phone Call." Cara went to the phone and answered it. "Hi, Professor Oak. You somewhat interrupted out breakfast, but that's OK, we are almost finished anyway." Professor Oak replied, "I am sorry about that. Well, I am glad that you are up and about. The reason I called is I have found the Nurse Joy who lost that Chansey. It will take a few days before she can come and pick her up, so if you don't mind having her for a few more days, besides by that time you should be able to see again. I never asked what you did after you got hit by that pouch. Also how Chansey managed to survive during that time since everybody had left the town." Cara answered, "After we got away from those two TR members, Mewtwo checked me out and I told him that I thought that I got some of that powder in my eyes. Mewtwo took the water bag and had washed my eyes out. That's when I found out that I had become blind. Chansey also had washed my eyes out again when we got here and she showed up. Also Chansey managed all this time because she put herself in a Pokeball and only came out when we had come here. So she doesn't need to eat or drink." Professor Oak replied, "I am amazed that a Pokemon would put itself into a Pokeball, but I am grateful that you almost immediately washed your eyes out. If you didn't, who knows what kind of damage could have happened to your eyes. Now I better let you go and let you finish your breakfast." Then Cara hung up the phone. After Cara had finished her breakfast and had done her some of her exercise outside with Mewtwo, she came back and started to use her natural born gift to find out if any food was left. Chansey was wondering what was going on, so Mewtwo explained about Cara's natural born gift and that she is asking any and all Pokemon to gather any food that was in that town. In a few minutes, she got her answer. Pokemon had brought all sorts of food items to her. The fresh food had to be gotten rid of, for most of it was spoiled, but what was left was a lot of canned food, enough to feed them for almost a month. As the Pokemon were leaving, Cara thanked them. After the canned food was collected, Pikachu, Chansey, Mewtwo, and Mew checked what was Pokemon chow and what was Human food. When they were finished, they found out that over three-quarters of the food was Human food. Which pleased Cara a good deal, once she found out if she could take it. As Mewtwo had said when Cara was finished with her exercise, Mewtwo went to Chansey to be taught how to do First Aid. Mewtwo saw how deftly Chansey put on a bandage on his arm and now he had to do the same thing to Chansey. It took him awhile but in the end he learnt how to put a bandage on anything, not just on eyes. It was mid-afternoon when Chansey came to give Cara her eye drops. As the bandages were coming off, Mewtwo looked at Cara and he saw that Cara was looking somewhat ahead, like she could see something. Mewtwo looked at Cara again and said, ["How well can you see, Cara?"] Cara replied "Not too well. I can see shapes and that, but not much else. It looks like when you are in a darkened room, only I can see outlines of everything. At least I am making some progress. When we got here I couldn't see anything." The next few days were like this, Breakfast, Cara getting her eye drops, Cara doing exercises, Mewtwo learning First Aid, Lunch, Cara getting her eye drops, Cara doing exercises, Mewtwo learning First Aid, Dinner, Cara getting her eye drops, Cara doing exercises, and Mewtwo learning First Aid, until Nurse Joy had came for Chansey. When Nurse Joy had came to pick up Chansey, Cara's eyesight had completely recovered and Mewtwo had became pretty proficient at doing First Aid, although he needed to practice some more in order to get better at some of the techniques. Just before Nurse Joy left, she told Cara that the reason why she had picked up her Chansey, it was because that the teleporter at her new Pokemon Center was down and it would take a while to get it fixed - by the time she got back it should be fixed. Cara had asked Nurse Joy what she should do with the food that was found. Also Cara asked if she could take any of the medical stuff for her Pokemon. Nurse Joy answered that if she wanted to, Cara could take the food, and since nobody else was going to use it and she could take any of the medical stuff that she could carry, after Cara had paid a reasonable sum for it. Cara thanked Nurse Joy and preceded to go toward what they thought might be the compound. It took a while for Cara and the others to find the compound, but when they saw it they all knew (all, but Pikachu) that it was the place that Cara was a prisoner for almost 15 years. Because Pikachu hadn't seen the building the first thing he went to was to the large gaping hole on one side of the building. Pikachu pointed to the hole and Cara answered, "Yes, that is where I had escaped." Cara looked at the hole, took a deep breath and then said, "I better go inside and confront my own problem with it, because if I don't I might never get fully over it." They all entered the building through the hole. The place hadn't changed much, except for the lack of people. The collar that Cara had worn was still on the ground in two pieces. The impression in the wall was still there. As Cara looked around all she felt numb, no anger or rage or anything like that. After all she had been though, she felt nothing, Pikachu and Mew looked around the place, asking Cara all sorts of questions, but she only answered only a few. Mewtwo was looking for something to find out what kind of Pokemon where put into her. He eventually found a computer that had a file of all the operations and what kind of Pokemon were put in her and where were they put into her. It was then that Pikachu and Mew came looking for him. It was then that Mewtwo copied the file onto a disk and printed it out as well - then the three went back to Cara. Cara was in the room where she was kept when she wasn't having an operation or doing exercise. Nearby they saw something, some of the food that Cara would have eaten. Mewtwo looked at a tall glass, sniffed at it and threw it away, for it gone bad and hadn't been used in the last 2 1/2 months. Cara looked at Mewtwo and said, "Did it smell sweet?" Mewtwo nodded his head, no; Cara answered, "Then that must have been the protein drink that they gave me. I was given two types of drinks: a sweet syrupy drink and a sort of milkshake. The sweet one was more than likely a high calorie drink and the milkshake was a protein drink, that is what I believe." Cara, then pointing to the food pellets, said, "I was given that to eat. So you can see why I like to eat food. I was given that to eat and drink, except for the occasional meat, fruit, or vegetables, for almost the last 15 years. The one thing is I don't feel anything, I should be angry or something, but I am not. " Mewtwo came to her and said in a soft voice, ["Cara, we will figure this out, but I have some good news for you. I have on a disk and written down on here the Pokemon that were put into you and where."] Mewtwo handed the list to Cara and she had read the list. As she read the list she saw that it was in two parts. The first part was what Pokemon were chosen. The second part was where the Pokeseeds were put. Cara also noticed that the list was broken down in three parts. The first part was for the Pokemon that had three evolutions; the second part had Pokemon that had two evolutions and the third part had Pokemon had no evolutions. Mew Psychic 88th Brain ================================================= Cara had almost finished reading the list, when she heard something approaching - it sounded like a helicopter. So Cara finished reading the list and motioned the others not to follow her, and proceeded to the Arena. A figure came out of the helicopter, and a Persian followed him and he said, "I want you to take off and I will call you when I need to be pick me up." Then he proceeded to go into the building. As soon as Cara got to the Arena, she immediately recognized whom it was. Giovanni. It was then that all of her emotions came up. As soon as Giovanni saw Cara, he said smoothly, "To think after all this time, you are going to be caught in this building where it all started. Now where are that Pikachu and Mewtwo that have been following you around? They must be here somewhere in this building. I suspect that Mewtwo is helping you with those flare- ups of yours. I know that he is a strong Psychic Pokemon and if I were you I would surrender." Cara was trying hard not to lose control of her emotions, and said, "All you think about is how you can use me or Mewtwo to help you get rare and unusual Pokemon." Giovanni chuckled a bit and said, "You know me too well. I didn't wait this long for something like you to get away. I need you: so that I can get any and all Pokemon that I want. I am impressed what you had done with that Psy-Fire ball. Those two will be in a hospital for quite some time. They kept on traveling for about an hour, if it wasn't for a mountain, they might have kept on traveling for a much longer time. Oh, they got some broken bones and some major burns, but they will back on their feet in about two or three months from now. I didn't know that you could combine your Pokemon powers. Also I would like to know how you escaped from me. If my cameras were working I might have found out how you escaped. Although you also might be curious how I found out about you." Cara nodded. Giovanni replied, "I eventually found out about you because of the unusual amount of Pokemon in the area. Once I found out that you were the cause and I knew fully about you that is when I brought you over here. Now I would like to know how you escaped." Cara trembled and said in a strong, but controlled voice, "I will not tell you how I escaped. I am not a tool for anybody to use. My name is Cara, I am not a Bulbasaur, an Ivysaur, a Venusaur, a Charmander." As Cara went though the list, Giovanni saw that Cara was going though the abilities of each of the Pokemon, when a Fire type Pokemon was mentioned, Cara would have flames surrounding her, so too, when she mentioned the other Pokemon. "Nor am I a Mewtwo, or a Mew. It was then that Pikachu, Mewtwo and Mew came into the room to see what was going on. Giovanni's eyes went as big as saucers (the flying saucer type) when he saw a Mew was with her. Then he shouted out "TR, I NEED YOUR..." He then realized that he was alone with two very powerful Pokemon. He could see the difference between the two Pokemon. It was then he felt himself being slammed into the wall. The next he saw was Cara just a few inches away from him, almost having a death grip on his throat. Giovanni forgot that Cara was also powerful, having 89 Pokemon in her. As Giovanni tried to find his cell phone, he realized that he couldn't find it. Mewtwo then said, ["Are you looking for this?"] Holding his cell phone, Mewtwo had teleported the cell phone while Giovanni was looking at Cara. Possible for the first time, Giovanni felt helpless and vulnerable. Giovanni was slightly visibly shaken. It was then Cara felt something well up inside her. It wasn't the emotions that she had seen when Giovanni entered the building, that were slowly going away. It was something else. After a moment or two that feeling was also going away, but for a moment she almost felt like a tear was going to come out, but it didn't. Cara looked straight into Giovanni's eyes and said, "I want you to stop chasing me, or maybe I will come back and do something to you to make you stop." Then Cara let one of her hands stretch out and started to produce an energy ball. Pikachu, Mewtwo and Mew backed away from Cara as she started to generate a small Psy-Electric ball. Mewtwo then said, ["Are you sure that you want to do that?"] Cara nodded and threw it and it went up and made a nice hole in the ceiling. Giovanni's face had lost all its color when he saw what that small ball could do. Giovanni trembled a bit more when he thought that if she used that Psy-Electric ball instead of the Psy-Fire ball, his men might have not made it back alive, if she did. Then she said, "Do you know how it feels to be like me?" Giovanni shook his head slightly. "Now here's what it feels like." For the first time in Cara's life she was able to send a message to Giovanni using her natural born gift. After Cara was finished, she collapsed. Mewtwo went up to her and said something, only Giovanni couldn't hear what he said. Cara and the others left Giovanni on the floor, trembling. If you were hoping that Cara would tell how she had escaped. You have to wait for it for quite some time. The next chapter will deal with somebody else instead of Cara. It will delve into the history that did eventually affect Cara. Also you notice that I had put up the complete list of what Pokemon were put into her and where. I have the list as well on my website. The list is here. The reason being that I put up the list is because Cara wasn't 100% sure of what Pokemon she had put in her and where. Now Cara is 100% sure.
