Chapter 4: A Chase into Pallet Town

As Cara and friends were traveling down the road, they were laughing at the looks that Dario had on his face as each of his hired hands each told a story about Dario.

"Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ha, ha, ha, ha..." As Cara laughed so hard, Mewtwo dampened her Pokemon gift so that she wouldn't lose control. Cara continued, "I didn't think at a human being could go that shade of color. Although it was a nice shade of purple!"

Mewtwo and Mew had found out that if it was done in time they could dampen Cara's Pokemon gift, and stop her from having any trouble with it, and not just the flare-ups.

After a few minutes, they all had stopped laughing and Mewtwo said, ["The one thing is that I was worried about, is when that Rapidash started to glow brighter. I thought that you had lost control."]

Mew nodded his head, agreeing with Mewtwo.

Cara answered, "What I was doing was combining my Pokemon gift with the Rapidash and you saw the results, although I was a bit scared not knowing if it would work. Luckily it did."

Pikachu, Mewtwo, and Mew all nodded.

Mewtwo replied, ["So, now know you know how to do it. Have you thought of combining your Pokemon gift to increase Pikachu's electric attacks?"]

Cara looked at Mewtwo and then Pikachu, then nodded and Cara asked, "Pikachu, do you want to try it?"

Pikachu nodded his head.

Cara picked up Pikachu, and said, "On the count of three we are going to do it together." Pikachu nodded again.

"One."

"Pik."

"Two."

"A."

"Three."

"Chuuuu."

"AAAAAAAA!!" As both screamed, Cara dropped Pikachu as the energy coursed through her body.

Mewtwo went to check on Cara, and Mew went to check on Pikachu.

Cara said, "I think we should start off small instead of what I just did."

Pikachu nodded...

Mewtwo asked, ["What did you do?"]

As the electricity was still coming off Cara, she replied, "I tried to combine a Raichu electric attack and Pikachu's electric attack and we got a backlash from it. If you still want to do it we could start tomorrow, Pikachu."

Pikachu nodded his head again.

It was then that they had heard something, and when they looked they saw a jeep coming.

The best that they could do was run, only to be confronted by another jeep. One of the guys had thrown a net, Cara used one of the Psychic Type Pokemon powers and caused the net to flip and the net landed on them and then they ran in other directions.

After running for a few minutes, Mewtwo looked at Cara and said, ["I thought that we would have a few days before they start to looking for us."]

Cara replied, "So did I. The only thing that I can think of is that the guy we saw was found sooner than we thought."

Cara was right - the TR member partner was looking for him at the Big P Ranch.

Flash back to yesterday at the Big P Ranch...

As his TR partner was looking for him, he eventually found him. He told his partner that he had to talk to the Boss.

When he got on the phone to Giovanni he said, "I have seen 'The Project' and she isn't alone. MEWTWO IS WITH HER!!!"

Giovanni's eyes got as big as saucers (the flying saucer type) as he heard the news, thought for moment and said, "I will double, no triple the amount of the reward, if you can catch them both and any other Pokemon that are with her. At your end tell everyone who is nearby, I will contact everyone else, all, but Jessie, James, and Meowth."

Giovanni had thought that he had lost Mewtwo. Now he was with 'The Project' and he was going to try everything to get them back.

End of flashback to yesterday at the Big P Ranch...

After running for several minutes, Cara and company stopped to catch their breaths.

Then Cara said, "I hope that we don't come across any more of them."

Only Cara spoke too soon. Because they heard another jeep coming up. Cara and company tried to get away, only whenever they turned to get away - another jeep appeared.

After a while Mewtwo and Cara took it in their hands to stop them.

After a better part of the afternoon Mewtwo noticed that Cara was starting to tire, so he teleported her far away. Then he took the engine blocks out of the vehicles, crushed the engine blocks and then teleported the TR members in the opposite direction that he done with Cara.

When Mewtwo got to Cara, the first thing that he heard was her stomach growling. He went over to the backpack and said, ["I think you should get..."] As Mewtwo looked in the backpack all except the food for Pokemon was gone and he said in a trailing voice, ["Some food in you."] After he recovered, Mewtwo said, ["You had eaten all of the food and you are still hungry."]

Cara weakly nodded her head.

Mewtwo then looked at her and said, ["Pikachu and Mew must be getting food for you. Because I don't see them anywhere."]

Cara again weakly nodded her head and weakly pointed up behind Mewtwo.

Mewtwo didn't know what Cara was doing, heard a sound from behind, turned around and saw a Pidgey and said, ["That Pidgey is going to show me where there is some fish, for me to catch."]

Cara was too exhausted to even nod, but made a weak, but affirmative sound.

Mewtwo followed the Pidgey and when Pidgey led him to the spot, Mewtwo looked in the stream and he saw a lot of fish, far too many to count. After several tries Mewtwo was starting to lose his cool, but he didn't, after he thought of Cara and the state she was in. He had tried to catch the fish with his hands, but he either missed the fish or got a head soaking. After trying a few more times, he decided to use his Confusion to catch the fish, Mewtwo scooped some of the water, then separated the fish from the water and took them to Cara.

Pidgey looked in amazement as Mewtwo had gathered the fish that he caught and saw the mass of fish floating in mid-air as if the fish were caught in an invisible net. Mewtwo could imagine what a story he was going to tell the other Pidgeys and its kids when it has young Pidgeys to take care of, when the Pidgey has a family.

As Mewtwo went on his way, Pidgey saw that some of the fish were still alive and flapping around and water was still dripping from them. Although they would be dead once they are cooked.

As Mewtwo came back with the fish, Cara had him do another errand and was led by another Pokemon - this happened a few more times.

When Pikachu, Mewtwo, Mew and the other Pokemons had gathered enough food, Cara started to eat.

After having her fill, Cara felt better and said, "I hope that we don't come across any more of Team Rocket."

Only it wasn't what they had hoped for. Mewtwo kept doing the same thing every time any large number of TR members showed up, teleporting Cara away and getting rid of the TR members. That's what happened for the next several days while Cara and company were being pursued.

Finally after being chased for the better part of the day, Cara was again getting exhausted, so she decided to try to stop them.

A couple of TR members got Cara, Pikachu and Mewtwo cornered. Cara got up and said, "I am getting sick and tired of you chasing me. Now I am going to show you something that I can do." Then the next thing the TR members saw was Cara floating a foot or so from the ground and had the most intense flames surrounding her, and she said, "I have stepped up in my exercise and started combining my Pokemon powers. Do you want to see what a Psychic and Fire Pokemon power can do?" Mewtwo was even scared at what Cara was doing, if Mewtwo had hair, it would have been standing straight up on the back of his neck. The TR members didn't wait to find out and started running off screaming.

As soon as Cara was sure that they had left, she collapsed, Mewtwo came to her and said, ["Are you okay?"] Cara nodded.

Mewtwo chuckled and said, ["What you were doing was a bluff, wasn't it. Now where is Mew?"]

Mew popped up behind Cara and said, "Mew."

Mewtwo said, ["Mew was helping you, wasn't he."]

Mew nodded his head as well as Cara, and then her stomach growled.

Pikachu, Mewtwo, and Mew all had a large sweat drop on their heads, and Pikachu and Mew face-faulted on the forest floor and Mew giggled.

Mewtwo groaned and said, ["We better find a town soon and buy some food for you. We have been out of food for the last few days. Cara it looks like you are starting to lose weight as well."]

Mewtwo went into the backpack to get the map, and then Pikachu came back and said, "Pika, Pika, Pikachu."

Mewtwo went to Pikachu and said, ["You have found a road sign."]

Pikachu nodded...

Mewtwo lifted Cara with his Confusion to make it look like he was carrying her in his arms and then he and Mew followed Pikachu to the road sign. The road sign said, "5 miles to Pallet Town. That way."

Mewtwo thought for a minute and said, ["Pallet Town, Pallet Town, now where have I heard that name before?"]

Cara weakly said, "Ash Ketchum is from Pallet Town. I had heard about him at times, when Jessie, James and Meowth told Giovanni that they hadn't caught Ash's Pikachu yet. Also I believe that a Professor Oak lives in Pallet Town. I have heard him mutter it from time to time from the guy who did the operation on me."

Pikachu got worried, when Cara had said that.

Mewtwo replied, ["If we can find out where Professor Oak lives, maybe he could help you."]

Then Mew came back and said that he had found his place and that they should get her there soon.

Mewtwo teleported the group close to Professor Oak's home. Because Cara was resting, she was starting to feel better so as she got to the door, when she rang the doorbell, it was then that Cara had fainted.

Pikachu shoved at Cara's shoulders and shouted into her ear. That's when Professor Oak answered the door and saw them.

Cara woke up in a bed with a cold cloth on her forehead. She saw Pikachu sitting a chair, near the bed, Mewtwo was leaning against the wall near her, and Mew was floating above her. They all had varying degrees of worry on their faces. Luckily she was still wearing her clothing.

"So, I see that you are awake." said Professor Oak.

Cara was about to say something, when all of a sudden she started to shake violently.

As Cara continued to shake, Mewtwo intensely looked at Cara and to said Professor Oak, ["You've got to help her"]

Professor Oak was shocked at what Mewtwo had said, but he had seen a lot of Pokemon and what they can do. After he quickly got his composure back he said, "I wish that I could, but I only know how to treat Pokemon,"

Mewtwo replied, ["Then treat her as one."]

Professor Oak looked at Cara, went out of the room, and after what seemed like forever, Professor Oak came back with a syringe.

Professor Oak tried to inject Cara, but because her arms were still shaking, found it difficult to do so. Professor Oak was trying not to hurt her. As Professor Oak was going to try again, Mewtwo put his hands on Cara's arm and held it down against the bed. Then Professor Oak finally gave Cara the injection.

Cara moaned as she felt the syringe go into her arm and then felt the fluid course through her.

Mewtwo replied, ["She doesn't like having injections."]

After a few minutes Cara stopped shaking and said, "Thank you, Professor Oak."

Professor Oak was stunned at what Cara had said, and then said, "How do you know my name?"

Cara replied, "From the occasional mutterings from a fellow scientist. I am so sorry that I haven't given you my name. My name is Cara. What was that you given me?"

Professor Oak replied, "What I gave you was a glucose water. It helps Pokemon that are over-exhausted and tired." Professor Oak then handed a tray of food to Cara and said, "Here eat this, more food is coming here, I have a friend who is making and bringing it over here. It should be here soon."

After Cara had almost finishing what she was eating, Professor Oak heard the doorbell and said, "That must be the food, I will be right back."

As Professor Oak came back with the food. Cara's stomach growled ever louder.

Professor Oak had a huge sweat drop on his head after hearing Cara's stomach, and then he said, "It sounds like you haven't eaten for several days."

Mewtwo answered, ["In a manner of sorts."]

Professor Oak was stunned at the amount of food that Cara had eaten and how she ate it. Luckily Professor Oak had asked Mrs. Ketchum to prepare a large amount of food for some unexpected guests and told Cara who brought the food.

After Cara had eaten all the food and had rested, Professor Oak thought for a moment and asked, pointing to Mewtwo, "What does he mean when you needed help to treat you as a Pokemon?"

Cara sighed and said, "In a way I am no longer human. Somebody had changed me and I think that I will live with it to the day I die."

Professor Oak replied, "I understand, but I know and have seen a lot of Pokemon and what are those two? Other than being a Psychic Type Pokemon I don't know anything about them." Professor Oak pointed to Mewtwo and Mew.

Cara sighed and said, "Professor Oak, Meet Mewtwo and Mew. Mewtwo isn't an evolved of Mew. He is a genetically engineered enhanced clone of a Mew. Although he was cloned from a fossil of a Mew and not from this Mew itself."

Professor Oak answered, "Who would be crazy enough to do that?"

Cara replied, "Giovanni, The Head Boss of Team Rocket."

Cara got scared when she saw the color in Professor Oak's face changed. Cara tried to back away from Professor Oak, but the wall prevented her from going any further.

Seeing Cara trying to get away from him, he said, "I am sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I am not going to hurt you in any way. From what I gather you were with Giovanni as well, am I right?"

Cara nodded her head and said, "He kidnapped me when I was 10 years old, and He let one of his scientists do some operations on me. Giovanni is a cold, calculating person. If he wants something, he gets it - even if someone else steals it. That is why he is the head of Team Rocket. I was a prisoner at one of his compounds until just over 2 months ago. So I more or less know what Giovanni is like."

Professor Oak asked, "So what did Giovanni do to you?"

Cara replied, "Through a scientist, I was given the abilities of some Pokemon."

Professor Oak groaned and said, "Who did this to you?"

Cara said, "Now let me think. I only heard his name a few times." Cara thought for a minute or two and said, "Now, I remember his name, Professor Sage. I had to think for a while I had heard that name only a few times since I was a prisoner of Team Rocket."

Cara saw the color in Professor Oak's face go from his natural skin color to almost white. Professor Oak muttered something, looked at Cara and said, "To have a name like that and be so irresponsible. He finally did it. He finally proved his theories, but at a cost of somebody's life. How many Pokemon do you have in you?"

Cara replied, "I believe that there are 89 Pokemon in me, although I am not 100% sure." Then Cara told Professor Oak what Pokemon that were in her and where they were put.

Professor Oak replied, "I knew Professor Sage, he was a brilliant man and in a way helped further research into Pokology. After about 20 years almost by accident, Professor Sage found what made a Pokemon a Pokemon. He wanted to prove it further by testing it on human beings, actually on pre-adolescence kids. He thought that because the young body would be more able to adapt to the changes than an older person would. Once it was we (the scientific community) found out about what he was trying to do we kicked him out. Somehow he had found a way to continue his research. When did you meet him?"

Cara replied, "I first saw him shortly after I got kidnapped. That was 15 years ago. Giovanni let him try on a couple of his younger Team Rocket members. One died for it and the other is a complete idiot. So he must have waited until I came into the picture."

Professor Oak's eyes opened really wide when she told him how long she had been a prisoner. He then looked at the three Pokemon and said, "Besides looking a lot younger than you are, do you have other kind of things that are caused by the operations?"

Cara nodded and said, "You can see on my face that I have Pikachu red cheeks. If you look at my hair, you can see small flecks and streaks of different colors in it. I also have the stripes of a Pikachu on my back. I am a lot stronger, fastest and agile. I also have to be careful with my emotions. If I lose control of them anything can happen. When I finally got home my parents started asking me a lot of questions, and I got angry and burst into flames. My Father, not knowing what was going on, threw a bucket of water on me. I also have flare-ups. They occur about every 6 to 8 days, except for the last one which is 13 to 15 days."

All of a sudden, Cara groaned a bit and then sighed.

Mewtwo said, ["We are helping her with that problem. Either of us can help dampen the flare-up. Cara just had it a moment ago."]

Professor Oak looked at her and said, "That wasn't much."

Cara was about to answer when Mewtwo replied; ["I had to dampen it down. You don't want to have this place to be destroyed."]

Professor Oak looked at her and said, "That was dampened down."

Cara nodded and replied, "As I told you before, they are about a week apart except for the first and the last. They come in order of the following: Fire, Water, Electric, Ice, Poison, Psychic, and then all. The flare-ups are a week apart, give or take a day. The last one is two weeks from the second last one give or take a day. Then it starts all over again only the next flare-up comes up in a day or two. If Mewtwo hadn't done it, my Electric power would have flared up in this room."

Professor Oak asked, "How long and intense are these flare-ups?"

Cara said, "The length of a flare-up is less than a second. Although the effect can last a bit longer. The intensity of the flare-up is very painful for me and can be dangerous. I had a flare-up the next day after I had escaped and I set a tree on fire. When I had my first flare-up, Professor Sage said. 'That was to be expected. The human body can only hold so much energy, but now that she has changed she will be able to handle it. Once I have completed the operations she will not have any more flare-ups.' The flare-ups were mild at first and infrequent, but grew more regular and stronger as the operations continued. If I remember what Professor Sage had said, 'I am like a battery being charged up, when there is too much energy it has to go somewhere,' and in my case, I have the flare-ups."

Professor sighed and said, "Now that I know why you came here, so how about it, if you want to, I am going to run some tests on you?"

Cara was confused at what Professor Oak had said and replied, "Do you just me or do you want to find out about Mewtwo and Mew as well?"

Professor Oak said, "Why yes, I would like to find out as much about Mewtwo and Mew, and to see what I can do to help you, Cara."

As Cara and Company followed Professor Oak; his thoughts were about the greatest Pokemon discovery that he would tell other Pokemon Researchers. Professor was so concentrated on those thoughts that he got a shock when Mewtwo spoke.

Mewtwo thought for a moment, and said, ["I think that you shouldn't tell anyone about us. The fewer people that know about us the better."]

Professor Oak gasped at Mewtwo what had told him and said, "Do you know it is wrong to read somebody's mind?"

Mewtwo replied, ["You were concentrating so much that I almost didn't need to read your mind."]

Cara and Mew nodded their hands in agreement.

Professor Oak then said, "Okay, I will not tell anybody about you unless you want me to. Cara since you escaped, which was the first Pokemon that came to be with you? Also I am wondering about what you told me earlier that you have another gift as well and besides, why do you call it a gift and not a curse?"

Cara nodded and answered, "Pikachu, he has been with me from day one. Mewtwo and Mew have been with me for about 2 weeks now. As Mewtwo told you before he or Mew have been helping me since. As for my natural born gift, this gift is something above empathy, but below telepathy. I can send thoughts, images, and feelings to Pokemon and I can understand what a Pokemon is saying. If I didn't have this Pokemon gift I might have never had to escape from TR and cause trouble for them. Other than a couple of problems, it is okay."

As they were about to go to the lab for the testing, Cara got chance to show her natural born gift. Ash's Muk was coming up to greet them.

As Muk came closer, Pikachu was getting scared. Mewtwo was powering up to get the Muk away from them, only Cara motioned not to and took a couple of steps toward the Muk. Muk proceeded to get closer, but then he stopped.

"Muk, Muuuk."

Cara just stood there.

"Muk."

From what Professor Oak's could see, all he saw was that Cara was doing nothing. Then he saw the Muk leaving them alone.

Professor Oak was stunned that Ash's Muk, for the first time, was leaving them alone.

Professor Oak looked at Cara and said, "That is amazing. Can you do that with any Pokemon?"

Cara nodded...

During the test, Mewtwo didn't like the small pads that were attached to the wires that were on him. Once Professor Oak was finished, they all popped off. ["I use to be in a armored suit that had cables on them. I didn't like it."] Mew on the other hand loved the stuff that was put on him, and wanted to see how far the wires could go.

Also while the tests were going on, somebody rang the doorbell. Professor Oak answered the door and saw two men waiting there. Although they tried to hide it he could still see that they were from Team Rocket. After Professor Oak finally convinced them, the two men left him.

After all the testing was done. Professor Oak went to Cara and said, "I got some bad news from you. I can't remove what Professor Sage did to you. If I did, it could kill you. Your whole body has been totally rewired. Although with all the information that I have, I might be able to find a way so that you will never have any flare-ups again, and maybe have better control of it. Although all of the tests are not finished. I should have the results of those tests no later than the early afternoon. Besides I have found out that Mewtwo and Mew are genetically similar, although there is some difference between them, it is like two sides of the same coin."

Cara responded, "Or Yin and Yang, but I know that Professor Sage said that he has the treatment to stop the flare-ups, but I would have to wait until he was finished with all the operations. But I don't want to go back to Team Rocket. If I do he will do two operations on me: 'The Cure' and another one so that I am a slave to Team Rocket."

Then Cara saw something on a counter top. Five elemental stones. She recognized what they were: a Fire Stone, a Water Stone, a Thunder Stone, a Leaf Stone, and a Moon Stone. Cara got a little closer to see them that are when Professor Oak prevented Cara from getting any closer and said, "I don't want you to get close to them Because there are some Pokemon that are in you that need a elemental stone to evolve, they could do more harm than good. I was given them to me to find out why elemental stones cause certain Pokemon to evolve. Beside it is getting late. You can stay in the guest room. Although I am wondering how you got here?"

Cara answered, "The last several days TR had been chasing us and when I started to tire, Mewtwo would teleport me away from them. Possible with all this teleporting we eventually got here."

Professor Oak answered, "So beside teleporting what can Mewtwo do?"

Cara replied, "I believe that Mewtwo can do: Recover, Barrier, Psychic, Reflect, Energy bombs, Weather manipulation, mental control, Physical manipulation, Teleport and Amnesia. Although I am not 100% sure. I believe that Mew can do: Teleport, Barrier, Psychic, and Reflect. Mewtwo had battled with Mew, but they never found out who was the better fighter, because a kid had made them stop."

Mewtwo told what Professor Oak what he did before he met Cara, including the making of clones, the battle with the clones and normal Pokemon, what to the kid that caused him to realize that what he was doing was wrong and had erased the memory of that event. The one thing that Mewtwo didn't tell Professor Oak was the kid's name. Mewtwo also told Professor Oak that since that incident he had become a better Pokemon, although he had trouble controlling his anger. Mewtwo also told him Mew had also helped him as well.

Cara looked at Mewtwo and said telepathically, ["The kid's name is Ash, isn't it? You can tell me when we get to the guest room. I think the reason why you didn't tell Professor Oak is you don't want him to worry."]

Mewtwo just remained silent.

After Professor Oak had led the group to the guest room and Cara was sure that Professor Oak had left them, Mewtwo said, ["You are correct that it was Ash. All he wanted to do was to for us to stop fighting, when he got between our psychic attacks, Ash died. Because the Pokemon had cried he was revived. I would never think that a single kid could do so much."]

Cara replied, "There is a lot a single person can do, so don't forget that."

Mewtwo chuckled and nodded his head.

As they were getting ready to go to bed, Cara liked it where each of the Pokemon was going to sleep. Pikachu and Mew were going to sleep with her. Pikachu would snuggle up against her chest and Mew would lie on her back. Mewtwo was too big to stay on the bed so he just stayed next to the bed and they all went to sleep.

The next morning...

As Professor Oak was starting to prepare to feed the Pokemon, he noticed Mewtwo looking out into the field and said, "I see that you are awake, where are Cara and the others?"

Mewtwo pointed out into the field and said, ["Cara is out there. She is having her morning run. Mew is somewhere out there looking at the Pokemon that you have. Pikachu is doing a few errands for Cara. Getting her some supplies and getting her bank account up to date. The supplies are going to be delivered here, if you don't mind."]

Professor Oak said, "I don't mind." and looked out and saw a dust cloud being produced. That is when he realized that Cara was causing it. Professor Oak figured that Cara was going. If not as fast as a Rapidash, pretty close as fast as a Rapidash. In a couple of minutes Cara was there.

Cara then said, "Whew! That was good. That got rid of lot of the stress."

Then Cara took up a fighting stance and sparred somewhat with Mewtwo.

After a few minutes, Mewtwo replied, ["Part of her exercise. She feels better if she could spar with someone."]

The next thing that happened was that Mewtwo was soaking wet and Mewtwo said, ["I mustn't try to get distracted or as you saw Cara reminds me of it."] and Cara and Mewtwo continued with the sparring.

After Cara and Mewtwo were finished, she said, "Whew! Now that got rid of all the stress of the past few days."

Professor Oak said, "Do you do this everyday?"

Cara answered, "Yes, I follow a similar exercise that TR had me doing. Although not as intense and long as the ones that they had me doing. I also change the exercise so that at least I am using one of my Pokemon abilities once a week."

Mewtwo quipped and said, ["Or in some cases once a day."]

Cara and Professor heard something and they saw Pikachu coming.

As Pikachu was coming back. Cara looked at him and said, "Do you want to do it?" Pikachu nodded his head and jumped into Cara's arms. Cara took off the bankbook that was tied to Pikachu and handed it to Mewtwo, and she said, "Are you ready?" Pikachu nodded his head and Cara said, "On the count of three we are going to do it together."

Pikachu again nodded...

"One."

"Pik."

"Two."

"A."

"Three."

"Chuuuu."

As Professor Oak saw what was happening, he was amazed at what Cara and her Pikachu were doing and asked, "Why are you doing that?"

Cara answered, "I thought that I can increase Pikachu's electric attacks to be a lot stronger. I found out that I could combine my Pokemon abilities with Pokemon. Just before the chase that brought us here, I was in the Great Pokemon Race and I had combined my abilities with a Rapidash to win the race. Besides don't you have morning chores to do."

"Oh my gosh, you are right, I got so intrigued by what you were doing that I almost forgot."

Cara replied, "Once I have breakfast, I will help you."

Professor Oak answered, "O.K., but don't be too long."

As Cara and Professor Oak were talking, Mewtwo looked at the bankbook and wondered what the numbers meant. So Mewtwo decided to wait until Cara was finished helping Professor Oak.

After Cara finished helping Professor Oak, they both went to the living room and rested.

Professor Oak replied, "Well that went a lot faster. I usually don't finish my morning chores until much later. When I have finished my morning chores I have to do the afternoon chores. Thanks for you help. Did you use any of your Pokemon abilities with the chores?"

Cara replied, "Nope, I didn't use any of them. I told you that I am a lot stronger since I have received this Pokemon gift."

Mewtwo came up and said, ["I have been looking at this and I am wondering what these numbers mean."]

Mewtwo handed Cara the bankbook and she looked at it and fell out the chair that she was in.

Professor Oak and Mewtwo went to Cara thinking that she was having a some kind of fainting spell. Cara got up and said, "I am all right, and I just got surprised. That's all. I told my parents about a cave that had a lot of different stones and gems. It is just I didn't realize how valuable they were."

Cara handed the bankbook to Professor Oak and he looked at it and said, "They must be very valuable indeed."

It was then that Cara and Professor Oak heard a beeping sound, and Professor Oak said, "That must be the results of the other tests that I have done on you."

After Professor Oak looked at the results, he said, "Now at least I have some good news for you. Because of the changes that you have gone through, you can use potions and stuffs to help you heal. You were lucky that Mewtwo said to treat you like a Pokemon. If I didn't, who knows what would have happened?"

Cara thought for moment and said, "I can use a healing potion and get healed up that way."

Professor Oak nodded his head and said, "This will only help you if you are injured or weak. It is not a substitute for good nutrition. Although since you have a few Psychic types in you, you could use Recover."

Cara nodded and replied, "I could do that up to a certain point. After that, it doesn't work, if I don't eat and rest."

Professor Oak nodded his head.

Then Cara and Professor Oak heard the doorbell ring. Professor Oak answered it. It was the stuff that Cara had ordered with Pikachu's help.

As Cara was about to pack the items in her backpack, a few gems fell out.

Professor Oak picked them up and looked at them and said, "Are they the gems that you found in that cave?"

Cara nodded...

Professor Oak then said, "I am no expert on stones and gems, but I am willing to guess that they are quite valuable."

Cara replied, "If you want, you can give them to Mrs. Ketchum to repay for the food."

Professor Oak answered, "Ok, I will give them to Mrs. Ketchum."

Cara decided to stay at Professor Oak's place for a few days.

The next morning...

As Professor Oak was about to do his morning chore he saw Cara floating about a foot or so off the ground and then he saw her burst into flames. As he watched, Professor Oak then saw Mewtwo a few feet away from her. As he was watching, Cara generated a ball of psychic energy with fire that coursed in and outside the ball. Cara then threw it towards Mewtwo.

Mewtwo caught it and then was thrown back several feet before it disappeared and said, ["You should only use it as a last resort. I was barely able to handle it myself."]

Cara replied, "That is a good idea. I think I might be able to do one, because if I do more I will exhaust myself."

That's when they heard Cara's stomach lightly growling and Cara said, "We can agree that I can only do one."

Professor Oak and Mewtwo both nodded their heads as a sweat drop was coming down on their heads.

Over the next few days Cara tried to combine different types of Pokemon abilities to see if they could work or not. She had found out that several worked out fine. In time Cara learned to perfect them.

Cara was sad that she had to leave Professor Oak, but she knew that sooner or later TR would find out that she had been at Professor Oak's place and she knew what kind of trouble would happen.

As Cara was leaving Professor Oak, he said, "You have my phone number in case, you need some help."

Cara had been walking for half an hour or so, when she was confronted by two TR members.

TR member #1 said, "So you thought you could scare us that easily. We won't scare that easily."

Cara thought for a few minutes back to the last day of the chase and then recognized who they were. Then Cara floated a foot or so from the ground and had the most intense flames surrounding her, "As you know I have stepped up in my exercises and started to combine my Pokemon powers. So you still want to see what a Psychic and Fire Pokemon power can do?"

The two TR members stupidly nodded their heads.

Cara let loose the energy ball and the two went flying, but before the it hit them, one of the TR members threw a pouch with something in it at her and it hit her.

Author notes.

So ends another chapter of Project Pokemon Chimera. Why did I let Cara see Professor Oak without Ash and the Gang? Because they are still on the Orange Islands. Also why I chose Professor Oak is because, he is a world famous Pokemon Researcher. If he can't find a cure, no one else can. What role will those Elemental stones have? You have to wait a few chapters for that. Finally what was in that pouch? You will have to wait till the next chapter to find out. So long for now.
