| This is a story by a teenage girl. It is meant for people preteen and older. I believe that fantasy stories are not only meant for young children. Some of the best "fairy tales" that I have read were, indeed, meant for adults and not for children. Some great authors of fantasy who I admire include Piers Anthony, Tamora Pierce, and Meredith Ann Pierce. I strongly recommend reading books by these authors. Another book series I have read is the Harry Potter series. I also enjoyed this series. Some people have accused me of copying from the Harry Potter series in this book. I would like to point out that I started this book before I read that very popular series, thus that accusation is rendered impossible and implausible. Anyways, the main charactor of this story is a teenage girl named Laurel Beechnain. Secondary charactors are Briar Troundska and Dain Yalesworth. They all go to the same enchanting boarding school.
