Plymouth Admirals 12 Chiltern Cheetahs 18

The Cheetahs made the long trip to Plymouth on Sunday and came away victors in what can only be described as an untidy game with unforced errors by both sides.

Chiltern opened the scoring in the 1st Qtr. when Andy Cochrane ran in from 19yds, this seemed to settle them as they worked out the stiffness of travelling and increased the lead further in the 2nd Qtr. this time with Kris Stevens running in from 5ydsto seal a half time lead of 0-12.

Plymouth adjusted their offence for the second half and this paid dividends for them with 2 scores in the 3rd Qtr. to tie the game at 12-12. Both teams had plenty of possession in the 4th Qtr. but it was Chiltern who broke the deadlock close to the 2 minute warning of the end of the game, when Quarterback Rob Suttling found an unmarked Stewart May for a 20yd touchdown reception to make the score 12-18.

Plymouth made one last effort on offence to tie the game but were intercepted by defensive lineman Richard Barnes enabling Chiltern to run out the clock to victory
