How I Love My Pooh
My Wendy Pooh, I love her so very,
A mere glimpse from her makes heart go weary.
Little did she know how I admired her from far,
For how I judged women, she easily raised the bar.
Since I first saw her, my hair stands like burrs,
How easy it is to get lost in those green eyes of hers.
With little abandon I snuck in time to have her alone,
Making tubing sets was a diversion, I even call her at home.
Many a night I dreamt of her loving me alot,
Would Pooh Bear go and seek her honey pot?
As if God was listening as I prayed at night,
Wendy showed up at GenVec looking cheery and bright.
We got on wonderfully, reunited again,
Why shouldn't we, after all we were best friends?
Being with her, I found more things to adore,
I saw myself wanting to know more.
Here was a woman with ambition, style, and sass,
I started to wonder...was I even in her class?
She only wants the best and has quick wit to boot,
With her I know she would love me if I was rolling in loot.
Even when she curses, she sounds prim and proper
I even loved her hair orange, whoops I mean copper
We could talk for hours...without an awkward pause,
Although sometimes she was from Venus and I from Mars.
I could never resist one of her hugs,
And our first kiss burned up the spark plugs.
I love how rewarding is her smile
It's so powerful it stays with me for a while.
As the summer went by and we had several trips,
She made me feel golden without moving her lips.
Faster and faster I felt it from above,
Surely it is happening...I have fallen in love!
Now that we have parted again, my love has grown more,
Time can't break us...our love is stronger than ore.
For now, I wait for your return my Wendy the Pooh,
Happy Valentine's Day baby and know that I love you!!
Love You Poetically!
Your Honey Pot
