The Survey page is sort of up. It works and has now been renamed INPUT. That may change again. I can't think of anything clever right now to put there. I'm still working on it. On the INPUT page, you'll find the Elbert vs. Luan debate(s) and also a comment form. It's not much for now but I'll add more to it later.

I may have screwed up the main page. I don't know how. Another thing I found out is that if you are logged into a Yahoo account, you may need to log out to view the pictures in my album. I'm in the process of finding a FREE photo album site that I can store pictures on. The one on Yahoo is okay, but I need something more extravagant. If you have any suggestions, Let Me Know .

One of the most anticipated DVD's this year was just revealed. "The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Rings" will be released on August 6. This is a special 2 Disc edition and is full of lots of Ish. But for you collectors, you may want to pass on this and wait for November 12 2002. That's when 2 more versions of this DVD are being released and these are 4 Disc versions. Read more HERE. The wonderful world of Hobbits awaits.

For those who have yet to hear, my good friend Jay Vergara has decided to leave the brotherhood of the bachelors. Yes, he and his girlfriend Amiee are now engaged. Details yet to be determined. Another one bites the dust. oh well...

Here in Hampton Roads, the police have started to bust filipino's involved in dealing ice. It's a huge trade and lots of people are getting caught, supposedly one of the biggest trade rings on the east coast. So for those of you with the Crystal Meth... better hide that ish good. Cops are checking filipinos hard right now. Did you know, Filipino's were some of the first to have that ish in the United States? From the yo-yo to crank. Just a little history to add to your cerebrum cortex.

Easter is this weekend.
Ever wonder what the deal is with Eggs and Easter. Here's a little knowledge and history. And what about Balut (or balot) eggs? I think I will make a push to make balut (or balot) the official egg of Easter. What else symbolizes Easter like eggs and baby ducks?(by the way, anyone see fear factor where they ate balut as their challenge? That was funny.) Insert Rex Navarrete Jokes here.
My whole life I've loved those Easter marshmallow bunnies. Here's what one cruel individual does to those harmless creatures. PETA members take note.
Today is Good Friday , the last weekend of Lent .

New Stuff's been added to the page. More pictures have been added to my album at yahoo. This includes pictures from my trip to Baltimore, Michelle Branch & Nelly Furtado concerts, and lots of other stuff. Go see for yourself.
Also, I'm still trying to get a good feedback form for my surveys to work. So the survey page is up but it doesn't work so don't try it. You'll just get some error. If you want, just use the one on the MAIN page because it works.

The Oscar results are in. Comparing my predictions below, I went 5 for 6. I am amazed at that. And for the one I got wrong, Best Supporting Actor, I think Ben Kingsley got robbed, although I never saw "Iris" so I don't know how that other guy did. Memorable moment from Halle Berry, she deserved it.

For those of you youngins who don't know who Gary Gnu is, and for those of you who do, check out The Great Space Coaster - ahhh, nostalgia.

The Oscars are this weekend. It was a descent year in movies. Lots of really good movies, and lots of really bad ones. My quick picks - Best Movie - A Beautiful Mind (although Lord of the Rings may make a surprise trip to the podium), Best Director - Ron Howard (For sentimental reasons, he's never won it - David Lynch should get the nod but nobody in the world understood Mulholland Drive), Best actor - Denzel (again, sentimental reasons - Russell Crowe screwed himself with his badass attitude) Best actress - Halle Berry (whoa, two people of color winning? That'll turn old hollywood geezers into a frenzy - that's why Sissy Spacek may win), Best supporting actor - Ben Kingsley (for his very un-Gandhi role in Sexy Beast), Best supporting actress - Jennifer Connelly (she just deserves it for a Beautiful Mind).

Other happenings this weekend. Old Dominion Lady Monarchs in action in the sweet sixteen - 2:30 Saturday.

Stay tuned next week with info on easter, the Final Four, more nostalgia and news of a new engagement. Same bata time, same bata channel.

It's the weekend. March Madness is still in full swing. By the end of the weekend we should have a Final Four. Duke lost in an upset last night to Indiana. This screws my brackets up majorly, but as a Tarheel devotee, I couldn't be happier. Did I say how much I love this Ish!! To me it's the greatest sporting event of the year.
I'm still working on this website. I know a lot of the links lead to nothing, it's slowly coming along. My computer should be back up this weekend with the addition of a new monitor (hopefully) and things should starts moving after that. For now - the new survey page is sort of up, still has a few kinks, but I'm still trying to learn how to write the code, so stick with me.

March 21 2002
For those who haven't heard yet, Gil Ordonez went and married his girlfriend Vanessa last week. He sort of just woke up, said "let's get married today", and went and did it.

Here's an article from the genius mind of director Kevin Smith. Britney fans - Don't take it personal.

Here's a new toy I like - the Treo. It's not too early to think of my Christmas presents.

March 20 2002
It's the first day of Spring, but the weather over here's been pretty effed up. It's been cold and rainy for the past week and just 2 weeks ago it was pushing 80 degrees. I'm gonna get sick from this.
Neptunes (or N.E.R.D.) on David Letterman tonight.
Here's a link to a new artist I saw in concert recently. Citizen Cope. You can listen to the whole album. His songs are mellow and border on folk and they're on the conscious tip. I guess he's like a male Tracy Chapman or Everlast when he sings and not raps. Give it a listen. It's not for everyone and I guess you need to be in a mellow mood too. Even if you don't like it, it's free. I know a lot of you are like me, going through withdrawal due to the death of Napster & now Morpheus. It's my quick fix. For more info go to www.citizencope.com

Old Dominion Women's Basketball team upset the Purdue Boilermakers to make it into the Sweet Sixteen! I know it's women's basketball, but when it's the only thing that ODU is really known for, I gots to get excited. As for my brackets on the Men's side, they're all screwed up, but my final four is still intact.
Music News - It's tuesday, new music day. My recommendations - save your money, nothing really good comes out today, just some crap (unless you really want the monsters of rap vol.2 with Hammer and Mr. Rob Van Winkle as Vanilla Ice). Buy a DVD instead.
In Movie News, a copy of Episode 2 - Attack of the Clones (if you don't know that is then no need to read on, if you do know then YEAH only 2 more months!) has been leaked out to the public and one of the harshest critics loved it. If you want to see what Harry Knowles said go here - Ain't it cool? this may contain spoilers, so if you don't want to know then don't read it. I didn't read it. Just offering you a way to the means.

I'm still in the process of revamping the site. I'm trying to organize everything still. I just don't have the time to do it right now (since my monitor went to monitor heaven), so I'm left with a crappy design for now. But I'm slowly working on it and eventually it'll come to fruition. Well, it's the weekend and I've got a birthday celebration with Meredith Lumaban(formerly Cespedes) on Saturday and Sunday is St. Patrick's Day. Busch Gardens opens up to season pass holders on sunday and I'll be there for a little bit. Also for those who care, Wrestlemania on Sunday. I'm not too into the whole wrestling thing, but with everyone always over at the House to watch it, I can't help but be knowledgable about the stuff. Rock vs. Hogan on the card.

March 14 2002
NCAA tournament starts today. I guess I'll be found in front of the TV for the next 48 hours at least. I've got about 20 brackets out there and I'm determined to win something this year. I've got Duke, Kansas, Maryland, and Oklahoma in the Final Four with Oklahoma over Maryland in the finals. I'm so excited!! I love March Madness!!!

Check out the new pictures here from Mike Jose's Birthday at Formosa on March 2 and Rachel's Niece's (Jordan) 4th Birthday Party on March 3.

The N.E.R.D. album finally came out this week (after months and months of delay). For those who don't know, N.E.R.D. is the super-producing duo the Neptunes + one more guy. They come out of Virginia Beach and are responsible for about half the songs on the radio right now (Britney, Jay-Z, Usher, Mystical, Nsync, Janet, etc.). One of them is a friend of many of ours - Chad Hugo. They seem to be everywhere right now. They are scheduled to perform on the David Letterman show Wednesday March 20. They can also been seen in several of this months magazines (Rolling Stone, Newsweek, the Fader, Source). Anywayz, the album is sort of hard to catagorize as it's not really rap or pop or rock. It's sort of all of that. It's also not for everyone, but I suggest you give it a try and even if it's not to your liking, at least you're supporting the homies from the Beach.
