| Every couple of years, some special people make their way into hip-hop; Big Punisher was one of these people. He brought charisma, humor and yet seriousness to the game. As a father, no one was there for his family and friends more than he was. I never met someone as into his craft as Big Pun. Although his career only lasted a couple of years, he left the rap world as one of the greatest of his time. Pun could be lyrical, defeat any so-called underground lyricist any day of the week, but at the same time do a commercial joint that the girls would love. For Latinos, he was a symbol of hope.
