HATCH CHILE EXPRESS
GREEN CHILE STEW (CHILE VERDE) #1

  ingredients:

5 cans green chiles or 1-27 oz can(about)
1T. SPIKE seasoning
1 large onion
2 lbs. bone-in pork shoulder or butt(about).
4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
water to cover

Instructions:

cover roast with water Add onion and garlic. bring to a boil reduce to simmer skimming of froth till clear. simmer till meat falls off the bone remove bones and chop meat. Add chilies simmer about one hour

serving suggestions:

serve with warm tortillas,smother bean burittos,over a bowl of beans,or even over mashed potatoes or pasta(really!!!!)
