Children's Hope (Europe)
Charitable Status pending
Bringing the love of God to homeless, abandonned and hurting children in Eastern Europe

Based in Leeds (UK), the overall aim of CH(E) is to demonstrate the love of God in practical terms by offering financial and material help to homeless, suffering and destitute children and families in Ukraine and ultimately throughout the former Soviet Union, through partnership with local Christians.

CH(E) was founded as a charitable trust in the Autumn of 2001, to support the work of the Children's Hope charitable fund in Kiev, Ukraine, although we are keen to develop links with other similar projects. We are currently awaiting formal registration with the UK Charities Commission. Headed by a qualified teacher with 20 years experience in residential care, in additon to raising funds, we offer professional support for the project, including twice yearly visits to help oversee work on the ground and provide training input for those working with the children.

CH(E) is managed and run on an entirely voluntary basis. We spend nothing on offices or expensive publicity campaigns, so, with the exception of unavoidable incidental expenses such as postage, bank charges etc.,  all donations go directly to helping those in need. Our accounts are open to inspection by any donors or other interested parties.

Applications for Assistance:

Any projects operating within Ukraine or other Eastern European countries wishing to apply for aid from the Trust are invited to submit proposals to the Trustees for consideration, provided they can demonstrate that their activities fall within the above areas.  The Trustees will then wish to satisfy themselves that the project (a)  has the backing of the local Christian community;  (b)  contributes significantly to the well-being of children and families;  and (c)  can demonstrate its financial integrity.  Normally this will involve a personal visit from a representative of the Trust, and we will also require regular feedback on the progress of the project and the uses made of our financial contributions.

Please note: We are not able to offer support to projects operating outside the specified area of benefit.
