God' Desire For His Children Is To Lead Them Out of Evil and Into Righteousness.

Gal 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

1 Peter 1:15-16 "...like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, "YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY."

Romans 2:15 in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them,

Righteousness should be seen in the liffe of the Christian

It is essential that we sow righteousness

We are to stay away from the world and its lusts.

Rom 8: 29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; 30 and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.

15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.

Moses set an example for us in Egypt a picture of the world

God has given each person a conscience to warn them what is righteous and what is not

24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, 25 choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin,

1 Tim 1:5 But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

We only need to stumble in one point of the law to be guilty of all

We must deal with sin by coming to the light of Jesus Christ

I John 3: 7 Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; 8 the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.

James 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.

Forgiveness of others is necessary for forgiveness of ourselves.

I John 1:7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.

Matthew 6:15 "But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.

God is love and as we travel in the direction of righteousness and the nature of God is revealled in us more and more, we will see more and more of the love of God being manifested in us.
