L3d6 The word confess means �to say the same thing.� What God wants from us is for us to say the same thing about our sins as He says about our sins. You can only know God�s feeling towards sin by looking at the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. It was there that God unleashed all His fury against sin on His Son and demonstrated to mankind all His anger and wrath at the disobedience of man. The more you understand the suffering and agony of the cross of Christ the more you will understand how much our sins hurt the God who loved us and gave His only Son for us. When you truly come to the cross and see what it cost God so that our sins could be forgiven then God�s love will flow in your life like a river of living water and transform all your anger, hatred and bitterness into love and compassion and kindness for everyone.
L3d6 But that all comes a little further down the road. Right now it is enough to know that the direction that you are heading is in the direction of righteousness. You need to listen to your conscience. Do not love the world or any of the things of the world and keep your life clean before God by regular prayer and confession of your sins, and you will do well on the road of life |
