Servant-Leadership Expectations

Children of Our Lord
1. Attend COOL Programs on a regular basis
No more than 2 misses per quarter (Sunday School or Fellowship)
If going to be absent, let Derrick know ASAP
After 4 unexcused absences (SS or Fellowship) you will be asked to step down.
Excused: recitals, illness, family emergencies, SAT next day, special school dances (Homecoming, Prom, Valentine, Winter Ball), or on a sport team (including cheer and band) that plays on Friday nights.
Unexcused: School projects/homework, regular tests (including finals), Fourth Quarter dances, club events, regular school events (i.e. football games), no ride (arrange one!), “don’t feel like it”, in a bad mood, etc.
2. Training/Discipleship/Planning Meetings
During Summer, there will be weekly meetings, including a short leadership retreat
During school year, there will be monthly meetings
Be prepare for assignments/homework
No more than 2 absences or 2 miss assignments.
On third miss, you will be asked to step down.
We will attempt to fit everyone’s schedules
Every once in awhile we’ll have a leaders day out- just for fun (concert, hiking, etc.)
3. Have a daily quiet time with God
You will be asked to keep a daily journal- to be turned in on Sundays
4. Be a FAT person (Faithful, Available, Teachable)
Be prepared to be pushed beyond your comfort zone
Dare to try new things
5. Be a living Gospel
Be a good model/example for others (home, school, church, etc.)
Being a servant to all; as Jesus was a servant to all
6. Be flexible for last minute assignments
7. Be involved in ministry teams
No more then two teams
8. Attend COOL Prayer Time on Sundays
9. NO dating other COOL leaders
Both will be excused for this
