There are three known ghosts: a small boy, a woman who stands on the front porch, and a middle-aged man. The man is most likely Frank Harrold, who was involved in a scandal centering around a missing $25,000 from the local bank he worked for. After the money was discovered missing, Frank was found shot to death the next day at his farm in nearby Clinton, Illinois. The year was 1925. The case was ruled a suicide, but many suspected it was a murder. Amy Patrick thinks it is Frank's ghost trying to tell her he was murdered and had nothing to do with stealing the money. The investigation of the premises yielded several unexplainable photographs.

Dogtown
Many things can be heard and seen at this place. There are
human looking spirits walking across bridges, and deep cold
chills.
Grandma Pattons WoodsAround the hours of
11pm - 3am. Voices have been heard from within this small forested area. Un-explained light activity has been seen
within the forest, sometimes out in the road even.
If you sit anywhere dark inside Dogtown in your car, and shut off the lights, then turn
them back on, there are supposed to be spiritual looking orbs of light
shaped as dogs that surround your car for a brief moment
Evergreen Park - Evergreen Cemetery - 87th St.& Kedzie Ave.
A young girl, 12 to 14 years of age, haunts one of the CTA bus stops along 87th St. She will board a bus at night and go immediately go to the back of the bus, without paying the fare. When the driver turns around to tell her to pay, the bus is empty. Some drivers of cars on 87th St. have reported seeing "heads" floating above gravestones and people sitting on some of the stone benches in the cemetery at night.
The Boundaries of the cemetery are 87th St. to the north, 91st St. to the south, Kedzie Ave. to the B & O Railroad tracks to the west. On the other side of the tracks is a separate cemetery, St. Mary's.
Fort LaMotte was said to be located in Palestine and was constructed during the war of 1812 to protect the early settlers in Crawford County from Indian attacks. A large Native American village that dates as far back as 300 AD was found. Many strange noises and lights have been seen in this area.
Galesburg, Hope Cemetery Located in a quiet rural area, the cemetery does have a local reputation for being haunted.
Near Heathsville is the Gravesite of Elizabeth "Betsey" Reed. She was the first woman ever publicly executed and the only woman executed by hanging in Illinois. Convicted of poisoning her husband with arsenic laced sassafras tea, she was put to death on May 23, 1845. It is said that she rode to her execution site right beside her casket singing. Elizabeth some how started a fire in her cell that burned down the Palestine jail where she was being held at with absolutely nothing in the cell to start a fire with. Her grave site and the cemetery it is located in is now a very haunted location. Manystrange events happen there and scientific data from equipment has indicated something paranormal was taking place.
South of Heathsville along the Wabash River is the site of the only Naval battle fought on the Wabash during the Revolution. The Hutsonville Ferry went into operation in 1854, and was the only route across the Wabash. A woman from Graysville tried to cross the ferry and her auto rolled back into the river drowning her. It is said that her spirit still roams the banks of the Wabash trying to get across.
Hutsonville The Hutson Massacre took place within the county in 1812. Isacc Hutson's wife, his five children, and neighbor were massacred. The massacre took place while Hutson was away at Fort LaMotte in Palestine. When Isacc arrived back home he found his house in flames and his family murdered. The family had been decapitated and the heads of his family were placed on posts around the cabin. He then joined the army and was later killed himself by the Indians. Some say the Hutson's are not at rest and their spirits still wonder the site of the reconstructed 1812 settler village.

Woodford County, St. Mary's Cemetery - The boundaries of this cemetery are the B & O railroad tracks which cross 87th St. on the east side, Pulaski Rd. on the west, 87th St. on the north, and 91st St. on the south. St. Mary's has a fence going completely around it, with the main gate on 87th St. and a smaller gate on 91st St. located between Homan and Trumbull Avenues. Late night drivers on 91st St. have reported seeing someone leaning against a fence post along the fence bordering the railroad tracks, with his arms folding across his chest. One driver reported that the figure seemed to react to his driving by, by placing his hands on his knees and crouching down, as if to look at him from under the branches of the tree between them, after which the figure disappeared. Several deaths, all violent, have happened in and around the cemetery. The first death was in 1927 at a restaurant/speakeasy located along the tracks. At that time many funerals came to the cemetery by train, where the party would have the funeral, then have the after funeral lunch at the restaurant while waiting for the return train. At this restaurant, known as "Vinegar Hill", one of the Westside O'Bannion Brothers was murdered by the Capone Mob. The next death happened in 1933, on the tracks, about 30 yards south of 91st. At this spot occurred the last daylight Train Robbery in the U.S. One of the robbers was killed during the robbery and never identified, the other robber was never caught, and the money never recovered.
