Adelphi Theatre
Haunted by the ghost of William Terriss, a Victorian actor who was murdered there by a Richard Arbor Prince, a jealous rival, on December 16, 1897 during the run of Secret Service. Prince died in an insane asylum. Terrisss ghost was first reported in 1928 when a stranger to the town saw a male figure dressed in gray Victorian clothes in Maiden Lane. The figure vanished suddenly and was later identified from a photograph.
Around this time, poltergeist phenomena manifested in the dressing room once used by Jessie Milward, Princes girlfriend when he died and leading lady in Secret Service. A comedy actress known as June felt light blows on her arms, a sensation of being grasped and the shaking of her chaise longue. She saw a greenish light above her mirror and heard two taps coming from behind it. Terriss used to tap Milwards dressing room door twice with his cane whenever he passed it.
In 1962 night workmen saw the greenish light take the shape of a man and float across the stage. It opened the stage curtains and went into the stalls, tipping the seats as it went.

University College
Theres lots of rumors about the site because its so old. People always talk about ghosts and stuff. In the main drama studio a curtain hung with chains from the ceiling starting shaking violently about, as if someone were pulling it up and down. As students started talking about ghosts a full bottle of water on the floor shifted a good few feet forward and a remote control car that wasn't in use at the time moved towards its owner. Two students had been using black magic in the room as a warm up for their rehearsal.
