After much reflection for building this website, I came to the realization, that initially, my feelings were that of anger.  Anger at seeing our nation in another war; anger that in all probability my son would be fighting on foreign soil; and above all else, the anger at hearing of more deaths of our children on the daily news and in the very next breath, watching the televised anti-war protesters marching proudly across our great nation, screaming their obscenities and openly denouncing our nation's leaders.  I've always respected any individual's right to the freedom of speech, but I cannot help but wonder how our forefathers would feel knowing of the abuses inflicted upon our nation, through that very protection, by a majority of individuals who have no cognitive reality of the term "Freedom."  Freedom is a term taken for granted every day of our lives.  An unknown author during the Vietnam Era described freedom.  These are his/her words:

"For those who have fought for it,
                            The taste of freedom
Is a flavor the protected shall never know."

Ask yourself, and answer with honesty, how many times do you wake up in the morning and give the Almighty thanks for the freedom of life; for the unadultrated freedom to make choices and pursue whatever endeavors you have chosen for yourself?  Like myself, I would venture to say not often.  Now think of the fathers, husbands, mothers, wives and children, that at this very moment are fighting for their very lives and for the freedom of an oppressed people in Iraq and Afghanistan.   I know from personal experience on the battlefield, that without exception, every one of them thanks God Almighty for being alive to fight one more day; to serve our country in the ultimate challenge...the preservation of freedom, for not only our great nation, but for those that have been oppressed by the manical whims of a ruthless dictator.   It is to those brave souls that I have dedicated this website; for those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country, and for all the returning veterans who have suffered so much in the name of Freedom and Democracy.  It is to them, that each and every one of us owe the ultimate respect; to remember them with honor, and to insure for all time that we shall never forget them.
