Child Labor In Latin America

Over 250 million children worldwide are forced to work and 17 million of them are in Latin America. These children wake up each day to work at menial jobs merely to survive. They are denied their right to a childhood and their opportunity to get an education. For those individuals who do not live in a country where child labor exists, this issue may seem distant and unimportant but it is a very real problem to those who experience it first hand. It is the only life known to the children swept up into the unending circle it creates. Child labor is tearing apart lives and it has to be stopped.
