Happou Ryuuchou Enkeidou ("Way of the Flowing Circle")

~consists of 5 basic movements for defense:

            -- Rakka (Flower Falling Down)

                        => concept of striking at the base of a tree with such force as to knock

                        flowers/blossoms/leaves off branches

                        => practice of hard blocking applying sudden max power with a twisting action to

                        stop opponent's attack and destroy his confidence

            -- Ryusei (Fluid Movement)

                        => concept and practice of soft blocking that absorbs attack and redirects it

                        using circular/deflecting blocks or parrys in a fluid movement

            -- Katteni (Taisbaki-like movement; "handle opposition")

                        => concept and practice of shifting/turning away from opponent's attack or

                        avoiding attack by applying evasive body movement

            -- Kushin (Bending/Springing from Knees)

                        => concept and practice of immediate shifting of stance from one to another or

                        reflexive "darting away then returning back immediately" type of body shifting

                        from any angle

            -- Hangeki (counter attack; "Go no Sen")

                        => concept and practice of generating a powerful attacking action as an effective

                        counter defense

 

 

 

Nansei Kibatsu Hiratai ("Art of the Striking Palm")

~consists of 5 basic offensive attacking movements:

            + Michihi ("Ebb and Flow" - Passive Style)

ð      concept and practice of using feints to draw out opponent and make him

pose his fighting style, strengths and weaknesses

            + Kahkou (Decisive Action)

ð      concept and practice of focusing on a limited area to attack with random

strikes to diminish opponent's defense, but user is still flexible and capable of

shifting focus if needed or is blocked

            + Gadou ("Art of Painting" - Leading Your Opponent)

ð      concept and practice of choosing what objectives to achieve and in what                     

ð      sequence while "leading" your opponent into certain actions

            + Renda (Barrage)

ð      concept and practice of relentlessly attacking and exploiting weaknesses,                   

ð      thus keeping your opponent off balance and unable to form a cohesive defense

            + Naisou (Internal Damage)

ð      concept and practice of striking weak points and pressure points of opponent              

ð      with focused and firm, darting hits

 

Tenmou Kaikuryuugi ("Heaven's Vengeance - High Speed Style")

~basic princliples of movement:

            -- Shuurai ("Lighting Strkes")

                        => high speed; fast attacks and movements

            -- Nansei (Flexibility/Balance)

                        => quick reflexes and decisions; agility and centering

            -- Touni (Evasion)

                        => dogding and parrying attacks; shifting for new opening

            -- Shijuu (Continously)

                        => consecutive, flowing attacks

            -- Koumei (Confusion)

                        => take away opponent's initiative and put him off-balance

            -- Heihou (Strategy; "Skill over Force")

                        => economic and methodical, waste no motion, waste no stamina

 

Tenmou Anshouryuugi ("Heaven's Vengeance - Sunken Rock Style")

~basic principles of movement:

            -- Heitai (Repression)

                        => repression of pain and retain focus

            -- Banryoku (Force)

                        => use full body behind each strike/hit/kick

            -- Tekkou ("Iron Stance")

                        => rooted, stable and balanced body movements

            -- Rikiryou (Physical Strength)

                        => brute strength of bone and muscle

            -- Sentsuu (Penetrating)

                        => using direct use of force to weaken/erode opponent's defense and offense

            -- Attou (Overpower; "more force over force")

                        => using direct use of force to overpower opponent
