Muse :: Attack of The TraX
Name :: Kang Alexander JungWoo "Attack"
Player :: D-chan [ o2b2insane ]
Journal ::
Occupation :: Radio station DJ

Appearance :: Kang's dark hair is too long to be clean cut; hanging to the middle of his back and often pulled away from his eyes. His eyes are a light hazel color; rare to find among predominantly dark-eyed Asians. The fact of the matter is, he's only about 2/3rds Korean; the 1/3rd, his mother's blood, being that of European decent. That Caucasian blood so diluted from its European bloodline so it's just the usual "American" to be exact. As it is, he wears dark brown contacts to cover his unique eyecolor.

Because of his mixed heritage and his diverse childhood, Kang's accent is a little on the exotic side, but only in certain enunciations, otherwise it's relatively unnoticeable. However, often times outside of work he'll speak in not-so-proper and broken Japanese if only because it amuses him and just because he likes to confuse people on the streets.

As far as clothing goes, Kang's found in anything; quite literally. Usually, though.... He's found in very casual suits, often with the shirt open to reveal a hairless chest; or in regular street-wear, which is what he grew up in and what he's most comfortable with.

Standing at 6'1", this twenty-three year-old is much taller than the majority of the Japanese population. While he's a little on the gangly side, he's wiry enough to not look anorexic. --Nevermind that when he eats he shoves food into his mouth like it's his last meal.

A few years ago, he got his ears pierced. It seemed like a good idea at the time.. going through a little rebellious punk phase or something. He even has a few tattoos, and the same goes for them.

Background :: As the second son, born on June 15, 1981, Kang received very little attention from his businessman CEO father, who very heavily favored his older brother, Sung. On the other hand, Kang's mother embraced the boy and raised him practically by herself along with his younger sister, Min. His parents weren't married for love as theirs was a marriage of convienence, status and politics of economics as well as distance since they rarely shared the same bed let alone lived under the same roof.

Denissa Corwin JungWoo was a well-to-do heiress of a longstanding firm who brought to her marriage a lasting alliance and foundation to American business and a link to global prosperity. She kept townhouses in London, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Tokyo, and Seoul to which she and her younger children would live seperately from their father and eldest brother. Mostly, they lived in London with many summers being spent in Tokyo or Seoul and short vacations everywhere else.

Never wanting of attention or money, and with the best and most expensive schooling available in England from primary school to prepatory school up to university, Kang was protective and caring of his mother and sister while developing a loose bond with his father and brother. Despite this, Kang never seemed jealous of his older brother's spotlight attentions or slighted by his father's absence.

His unique childhood required that he learn two languages for his milk tongue -- English and Korean, as he lived grew up London and Korean was heritage. He didn't need expensive education to bring out the fact that he was an intelligent boy with a vast imagination. Intense interest and studies of Asian Cultures, World History and Literature along with Art and Music as well as brief studies abroad to Japan and the United States brought about his fluency with Japanese and his American flair for slang when speaking English. His main area of interest continues to be centered around the arts, mainly music, British and Asian literature, drawing, and photography. At Oxford University, Kang earned in bachelor of the arts degree in Music with some side studies in the Fine Arts and Oriental Studies.

Never one to be the shy one or step down from a challenge, Kang was always close to the center of attention if not the focus, and he made friends where ever he went with his natual charisma. His interest in music developed into a passionate love in which he not only just enjoy creating it, but discovering new bands and sharing them with his friends as well. Growing up traveling around the world, Kang deeply appreciates visiting different countries and experiencing their music scenes as well as new cultures.

Now living in Tokyo, Japan where he is experiencing one of the most diverse and creative music industries, Kang works as a disc jockey full-time for a local radio station where his after-work and early evening show hosts indie and major bands as well as paying homage to foreign artists. His call-name for his show is "Attack" -- a joke on how he attacks . He lives in his own comfortably sized two-bedroom apartment in Harajuku.

Activities :: In his sparetime Kang makes his own music in his sparetime at local recording studios and promotes/schedules underground bandshows at different locations for favorite up-and-coming bands. He likes to go to shows, exhibits and galleries just to see what else is happening in the artistically-inclined world as well as visiting museums and parks.

Outside of his work and his playtime he likes to work out a lot, desiring to keep in shape mostly through daily running rather than weight-lifting. He likes to swim and play soccer.

Kang's mostly active and energetic; although sometimes, he just can't seem to roll his lazy ass out of bed.

Clubs. Naturally, as he's still young and drowning in the fast-track lifestyle of his twenties in which he enjoys going to clubs and scoping out joints as much as the next twenty-something guy. He's actually a surprisingly good dancer and can hold his liquor better than many Russians. Drinking games and contests are fun for him, as are drunken sing-alongs.

As for dating and that whole relationshiip thing...? Not much, not often. Kang's the non-commitment type of guy. He'll agree to practicing erotic dance moves with anyone that can keep his attention, although generally besides that he's indescriminate.

On nights he doesn't choose to play out the night with a partner at their place, he can usually be seen in the wee hours of the morning at 24-hour coffee places getting a little pick-me-up on the way home.

Occasionally he'll skip town (though he always tells at least one person) to go visit his family where ever they are over globe. His family, in general, is important to him while his mother and sister are specifically, very important. They're very close in a unique way with their tight-knit mother-child and devoted sibling bonds.

He does have a cell phone. It's always on.

Other Info :: Addiction: Nicotine. Definitely. He gets fidgety and finds it difficult to concentrate if he's not had his cigarette when he needs it. God forbid you see him when he's pissed and he has no cigarettes. You're as good as dead.

Istruments: Voice, Piano, Bass Guitar, Guitar, Keyboard, Violin, Cello, Shamisen and Ko-to.

Scenes: Kabuki-cho's finest, Shibuya's diversity, Shinjuku and Roppongi's strips, and Harajuku just for the hell of it.

Ideals/Motivation :: For the moment, Kang is quite satisfied with his life and his achievements. He knows that his mother would like him to attend graduate school somewhere sometime, but he's not in any rush too as he's fine where's at and after that he wouldn't be sure what would become of him. He has hopes of making it in the music industry either independently as an artist or in a band, or perhaps working the production scene as a producer or director.

His motivations, however, are clear: Kang wants to be able to express himself, in whatever way possible. Be it with words, art, or actions. It doesn't matter to him.

Attitude :: "A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between he does what he wants to do." ~ Bob Dylan
