"Why don't you just tell Xelloss? I mean, there is no way he is getting away with this! It is so not fair that we have to look after his friends, especially lizard-lips. She is getting on my nerves..." Kira said, twirling her blue hair with a finger.
I know, I know! I feel the same way, but theres nothing
DONT TELL ME THERES NOTHING WE ACAN DO! THIS IS OUR HOUSE, CHIKO, AND WE CAN ANYTHING WE WANT WITH IT! Kira interrupted, casting a pillow in Chikos direction. She swiftly dodged it.
Whoa, my precious Kira. Calm your fiery temper! Said a mischievous voice.
Xelloss, Kira and Chiko muttered in unison. A floating figure surrounded in shadows appeared at the doorway.
Who else, my dear friends! Now, about this little housing arrangement argument. What seems to be the trouble, Chiko-chan? Xelloss asked. Chiko recognized at once the mocking tone in her old friends voice, saw the familiar mischievous glimmer in his amethyst eyes.
Well, you see, Xelloss-kun, were kinda, well Chiko faltered as Xelloss sent her a smile that went straight to her not-so-kind-except-to-Xelloss-heart. Come on, Chiko! she thought. You can tell him! Well, uh Deep breath Xelloss, we have too many guests to take care of. Xelloss smiled again at Chikos statement.
Then its settled! He exclaimed.
Whats settled? Kira asked out of curiosity.
The two new guests are moving in tomorrow! Xelloss declared.
WHAT?! Kira and Chiko jumped up.
No no no no no no! We cant have any more guests, Xelloss! Chiko started to argue, but was silenced with Xelloss finger.
You have more than enough money to sustain these people. You cant fool me, my dear. These people arent as fortunate as us, Chiko-chan. They cant conjure things out of thin air from Dimensional Portals like we can. Remember, we are of Mazoku blood, Xelloss said. Yes, Kira, you heard me correctly, he added, correctly interpreting Kiras odd look.
"You may be, but we aren't"Kira muttered.
But were were not better than them, are we, Xelloss-kun? Chiko asked, partially wanting to hear the answer from the Mazokus mouth, partially to wipe that stupid look from his face.
you are better than anyone else on this entire planet. Get it through your heads for your mother's sake." a wave of anger swept hrough Kira, stronger than any before. Chiko felt it as well. and Xelloss was enjoying every moment of it.
"What do you think, Kira my girl? The Mazoku asked the little Amazon. Kira sat on the edge of her bed in stunned silence, then lifted her head and stared expressionless save her open mouth at Xelloss.
Y-your girl? She asked as Xelloss smirked. I am NOT your girl! Got it? Yes, I ignore all you other stupid pet names: love, pet, dear because I know youre joking around. She was on her feet now. But I wont stand this one, Xelloss Metallium, I AM NOBODYS GIRL! I BELONG TO NO ONE! Kira was so close to Xelloss, their noses were nearly touching.
Xelloss winced. Though he may be a Mazoku, and he was enjoying it, there were just some things that were too much for him. Kira hardly ever got angry, even around her sister. The soverign of anger.
Xelloss frowned and was about to open his mouth, but kira's strong hand was too quick for him. He wen't sailing across the room as her fist collided with his jaw. He slammed into the wall and his black blood started to spread on the carpet as a huge crack echoed through the house.
Neither of the twins batted an eye as they left their lifelong friend on the floor to die. They were warriors, proud and strong. Where they were brought up, if somebody wen't against you they became your enemy, no matter how close they previously were. the line had been drawn thousands of years ago. and Xelloss had just crossed it.
