"A lovely day isn't it?"She asked.
"Indeed." Chiko replied, her tone and look betrayed no emotion whatsoever. Neither did Kira's.
Filia looked at them curiously. "What ever is the matter?" Filia began to follow the twins, having trouble keeping up with the pace.
They stopped suddenly. Kira gave filia a sideways look and smiled a seemingly genuine smile. While Chiko remained blank and glaring to the world.
"Never mind," She stated, "return to your business."
Filia shook her head and returned the direction she was headed seconds earlier. "Good day, then!" Filia waved after them as Chiko snorted in reply and Kira kept the all too kind smile plastered to her face.
**End flashback**
Filia swayed unsteadily and screamed as loud as she possibly could. "LINA!"
On the other side of the mansion, Lina heard the scream. As did Amelia, Gourry, and Zelgadiss. They ran to where Filia was, hoping this wasn't just another one of Xelloss' sick jokes.
But the scream sounded different, as if she had seensomething more horrible than just Xelloss' prank. Like... as if it were a murder or something.
Lina doubled her pace.
Xelloss' hand started to fade into nothing.
Filia screamed again as Lina and the others came running up. "What is it Filia?" Lina looked behind her and stepped back from Xelloss.
Xelloss' whole forearm was gone and Chiko's spell was slowly working away at the rest of him. "Next time I should really watch that enchanted glaive of hers." He muttered.
Lina knelt down beside Xelloss. 'He did help save the world,' she thought. Lina sighed as the others gave her anxious looks.
"You're going to save him?" Zelgadiss obviously wasn't happy about this turn of events. "He's a mazoku!"
Lina turned on him angrily. "He helped save the world Zel. Get off your high horse and accept the fact that even if he's a mazoku, he can still help us!" She turned back to Xelloss and started casting the dragon Slave.
Amelia started to protest but Gourry's hand stopped her from doing so.
At the end of the spell Lina added another verse, to quiet to catch and fed it into Xelloss' 'body'.
Chiko and Kira both smiled from the shadows where none of the 'gang' as Chiko liked to call them had discovered them. 'Interesting,' she thought, 'since when does a dragon care anything for a mazoku?'
Kira had heard he twins thought and replied with her own, 'he did save the world against his master's wishes.' Kira Grinned and Chiko gave her sister a mock glare.
"You look like Aoi" Chiko raised an eyebrow, "but without the fangs." She looked back as Xelloss' was back to normal. Filia was most certainly expaining why the twins weren't there. "Shall we?" Chiko flashed an Aoi grin at her twin and they both teleported in a flash of silver light and appeared infront of the group.
Lina looked up to see Chiko and Kira standing there, chiko with her glaive in hand. "Enjoy your stay?" She asked, amusement evident in her tone.
"up until now, yes." Came Lina's tart reply. Apparently they weren't happy. "Who the hell are you anway!? That you can just do that to the seventh highest ranking mazoku and comeout clean without even a scratch!?!?!"
"I am Chiko Kokoro, demi-goddess and daughter to the Lord of Nightmares," Chiko smiled sadisticly and pointed her glaive at Lina-tachi. "child of chaos." Her smile turned innocent "And this is my sister Kira."
Chiko's staff began to glow green and the whole group set up a sheild, Xelloss included, even though he knew it to be futile.
"Koi'o Karae." Chiko's spell cut easily through all of the sheilds and hit Xelloss first.
His memory of the last two weeks was wiped and he was sent back to wolf pack Island. Lina and her friends were sent to an inn, The Columbine, in Atlas.
They had absolutely no memory of their past two weeks, and had absolutely no way of breaking the spell. They blamed it on too much to drink. At least that's what the two cloaked women in the corner had told them. Zefilian wine could definintely have that effect.
