In Loving Memory Of Chihuahua
On August 13, 1990 after losing my Chihuahua of 20 years I swore that my heart could not experience that type of pain again in my lifetime. She was euthanized in my arms at home in San Francisco. She's buried in my parents backyard in Sacramento, CA.

In the beginning of 1991 I started looking for a new Chihuahua. I traveled to Phoenix, Southern California and all over the San Francisco Bay Area. Little did I know i'd find my future Chihuahua right in my own backyard, Sacramento.

Born July 10, 1991 to Geri Ragsdale (916-424-3804) of Geri's Chihuahuas, Sacramento, CA. At first I had bought another Chihuahua that Geri had bred. The day I was due to pick her up, she had died. Geri kept her frozen body for me to witness. I had already brought another $400.00 to buy Chihuahua Marez to be because during my many visits she stole my heart. As a baby she was so outgoing.

On September 10, 1991 at 3/4 of a pound we were on our way home to San Francisco. On the drive home I told my doghter that shes coming home with a crazy man that loves to dress her up and that I would never ever make her do anything that she did not want to. I also belled her because she was so small.

I adored my doghter Chihuahua. My whole life evolved around her. Every second, minute, hour and day was lived with her being my first priority. We enjoyed each others company. We were insync with each other. I knew what she was thinking and visa versa.

God's 3 1/2 pound four legged creature brought so much joy into my soul and spirit and that in turn made me a better human being. We shared our lives visiting Family in Sacramento, San Diego, Los Angeles & Napa, dressing her up with sunglasses, hats and clothes, visiting and eating with her Grandma Louis, taking long walks over Roosevelt Park Hill, long bike rides to Sausalito, going to movies/dinner, going to work with me on the Oakland San Francisco Bay Bridge, lay in the hot sun, lay in warm clothes, take knaps, cuddle under blankets with her head peaking out, walking around the beautiful streets of San Francisco, go visit her Chihuahua cousins Paco & Valentino and monthly Chihuahua Cha Cha gatherings.

In 1997 I met Jesse. I remember when we first spent the night at his house and in the morning when his best friend Bill saw me heating up Chihuahuas breakfast he dam near could not believe it. He said that she must be spoiled. And that she was. My Family has told me on many occasions that i'm an over protective Dad. It was not long before my doghter stole Jesses heart too. So now she was 'our' doghter. She loved to kiss and kiss him for long periods of time. She'd eat cereal with him, sleep with him, travel in  her doggie seat in the backseat of the car.

After a short illness (Pulmonary Hypertension) she was euthanized in both her daddies arms on October 19, 2001 at 1:45 am. She was buried on her Grandpa Pickelsimer mountainside property overlooking peaceful Clear Lake.
This portrait was taken at a studio. Photographers enjoyed shooting her because she was so calm.
This pic was taken at Fishermans Wharf on one of our many long rides from San Francisco to Sausalito. NOTE: Look closely and you can see Chihuahua in my clear plastic back pack.
