"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord.  They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.  In those days when you pray, I will listen.  You will find me when you seek me, if you look for me in earnest."

Well, finally I have taken the time to tell you who I am.  My full name is Rebecca Loreen Burr and I was born on July 2, 1976 in southern California.  I grew up here in northeastern Oklahoma where I asked Jesus into my heart at the age of four.  I was baptized in the Holy Spirit when I was  nine years old.
I have always craved that special relationship with Jesus that I could see in others but never knew how to achieve it for myself.  All I can say is that God's hand has been on my life from the very beginning.  He has brought me through so much already that I know I would not be here without Him.  His blessings have been so abundant to me that I cannot begin to list them all.
As a child does, I wondered and dreamed about what my life would be like when I "grew up".  Little did I know it would be so difficult to decide.  I searched for years to find what I was supposed to do with my life. For a long time I chased different personal interests, thinking I had found "the thing", but the more I tried to figure it all out, the more confused I became.  Finally I gave up, thinking I would just continue on without a real goal in sight.  I decided that I would just serve God to the best of my ability as a homemaker, which is my current vocation.
Now as a wife and mother of three, I am beginning to see God's plan for my life unfold more clearly. I believe in my heart that He is calling me into the ministry.  A ministry to women; teaching them how God views them and the purpose for which He has created them, specifically what it means to be a "
homemaker". (Proverbs 31:10-31)
He has assured me that this is a lifelong mission and will not happen overnite, next month, or even in the next five years.  We are talking long-term here.  There will be many things He asks me to do along the way which may or may not appear to relate to my life mission, but the lessons I learn will be the foundation of what He has called me to share with others. The life I lead right now, tomorrow and next month is my training ground for ministry.
If you have read this far, thank you so much for your interest.  Please say a prayer when you think of me that I would continue to be humble and diligent before God, growing in faith and obedience to Him.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress.  And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us."             ~ Hebrews 12:1 (New Living Translation)
