Lincoln cathedral was begun in 1072, and some of the original structure still stands. Due to past fires, however, most of Lincoln cathedral dates from the 13th and 14th centuries.
Lincoln cathedral is one of Britain's largest cathedrals, and features a fine open nave. Amazingly, at one time Licolbn cathedral was the world's tallest building. Unfortunately, the great spires fell down, and it was rebuilt with less magnitude.
