Dwayne and Lisa Kelly should by now be proud new parents. We spoke to the Kelly's at the Indian Shop in Dover just last weekend. This being November 15th...Lisa told me that she was expecting Wednesday this week. I have not heard any news of this other than what Lisa told me.
About 2 weeks ago, our Events Coordinator extrodinare, Dawn "DUKE" Johnson, bought her own piece of Delaware pavement. Riding with her husband Buzz, Dawn and her Suzuki Marauder went down on a rural back road. Dawn's bike suffered minor damage nothing serious...headlight, mirrors and some scratches...Dawn wasn't as lucky suffering broken fingers, elbow and road rash to her chin and nose and leg. Good news is that Dawn is recuperating at home and everything is gonna be just fine..she'll be back in the saddle before you know it........we send our best wishes and hopes for a full and quick recovery.
At the end of October, Buzz and I rode north to Exton Pa. not too far north of Wilmington De. There we met with riders from the Exton area. We had a fine ride that day with our new friends. We covered about 100 miles on the ride thru rural Pa. Nice scenery as the leaves were just turning. Ending up in the Village of Petersburg where we re-hydrated at the local watering hole. We plan on returning to this area next summer. Anyhow, this same crew of Pa riders..Mark "Lenape Chief", Gordon "Saponi" Silver, "Monto Chief" and friends are having a "Dealer Run" on November 29th..."Black Friday" their intentions are to visit the Indian Dealers in the area..including the Wilmington dealer and Sellersville NJ dealer...of course stops for refreshments are to be included. Hopefully we will have a nice day for riding..Being November and all, our nice days are numbered...For more info on this ride you can visit the Iron Indian Riders forum or email me. ABATE of Delaware is having their 18th Annual Home Run on December 1st. This is to benefit the patients of the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill 10 AM til Noon. Please bring a gift marked for a man or woman. I have a "wish list" of suitable gifts. Send me an email and I'll let you know what is suggested..These are elderly people who are stuck in this Hospital, many never have visitors throughout the year...Come with us and improve your KARMA..'tis the Season for good deeds...........Departure for Dover Indian at 9:00 AM. ABATE is having a party afterwards at the Smyrna Moose Lodge. I don't know if this party is for nonmembers. I will find out. If not we will have our own party somewhere..
