Inky is my first Chihuahua. He is 15 months old, weighs 3 pounds, and is beautiful Blue Merle in coloration.
I bought him from a family of Mexicans that came into my grooming salon -- bought him LITERALLY out of a box, so I know nothing of his background...?
He is the most intelligent and spirited little dog I have ever known, and he literally stops traffic wherever he goes. People comment that he is the smallest dog they have ever seen, and ask what kind of dog he is!
Due to his unique coloring, the standard comment is: "I didn't know Chihuahuas came in that color?!"
Being a professional groomer, I have seen lots and lots of Blue Merle dogs over the years, but Inky was the first Chihuahua I had ever seen in this color variety. I just fell in love with him instantly!
Most of the public -- anyone who meets him really -- seems to feel the same as well...
I have never met a dog with more universal appeal than Inky (and I have met tens of thousands of dogs!)...
The only problem is that I socialized him well by taking him to work with me for the first year of his life, so he is very spoiled about "going out on the town", and he is so confident he thinks he is 33 pounds, not only 3!
I have attached a picture to this message for you of Inky; he weighs just 3 pounds, and measures 5 inches at the withers.
In the photo he is wearing a size 8 collar. This pic does not show his lovely white neck and blaze that trickles up onto his head from the rear, giving him fantastic true Blue Merle coloring!!!
