FEATURED TRAINING TIPS & MORE
LACEE'S TRICKY TREATS
(tried & tested by the 7 Chidwarfs)
INGREDIENTS
1 cup dry rice baby cereal (pablum)
1 egg
3 tablespoons ground meat
(we used beef -try chicken or lamb if you'd like)
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Start by beating the egg in a bowl, add the garlic powder, then the meat.  Gradually add the dry pablum and knead this very well into a dough.  Roll the mixture into small sized balls or rolls to feed as treats -- and be inventive!  Place treats on an oven safe tray (we lined with parchment paper).

BAKE AT 250 FOR AT LEAST 10 MINUTES!  We shut the oven off and let them dry out in there.

Freeze treats not used within 1 week -- no need to thaw -- feeding small frozen treats will help a teething puppy!

CHIHUAHUAS CAN BE SENSITIVE DOGS WHO DO NOT RESPOND WELL TO SCOLDING. MOTIVATE YOUR CHIHUAHUA WITH PRAISE AND ENCOURAGEMENT!
FOOD CAN BE USED AS A MOTIVATIONAL TOOL! REWARD YOUR DOG WITH A TREAT & PRAISE. ONCE HE LEARNS THE CORRECT BEHAVIOR OR TRICK, YOU WILL NOT NEED TO REWARD WITH FOOD EVERY TIME. BE PATIENT, THEY ARE VERY SENSITIVE AND WILL BECOME FRUSTRATED IF YOU DO.
DON'T TRY TO DO TOO MUCH ALL AT ONCE.
USE THE 3 Rs:
REWARD,REPETITION,RESILIENCE.
NEVER GIVE UP!
THIS IS LACEE -- EVER SEE A DOG WEAR A PUMPKIN FOR HALLOWEEN?
MOST CHIHUAHUAS ARE VERY FOOD MOTIVATED!  USE FOOD TO BEGIN WITH TO MAKE TRAINING EASIER!

CHOOSING A QUALITY DOG
Once your dog knows the command, you don't always have to reward with food. Always praise your dog's success!
