Hi All, I read in a book about "playing piano" that there is a simple way to find out the notes for any song. Though some of us try to guess the notes almost correctly for any song, there is a more established fact. The author says that the note "Sa" embodies a sense of completion. [This is called "Tonal" concept]. So, each song ends in "Sa" as this indicates that the song is completed. Thus, if we can assign "Sa" as the ending note of every song and backtrack towards the first note, we can find out the note where the song starts. After this, it is easy to find out other notes for the song. Another way to do this is: 1.start the song in "Sa" 2.when we reach the end-note, find out what it is 3.make adjustment so that, the end-note is "Sa" and restart with the adjusted start-note [for example, if the end-note is "Ni" then, we should restart the song in "Ri" so that, it will end in "Sa", which is how it should end] Example songs are: ENGLISH 1. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star [starts and ends in "Sa"] 2. "I believe I can fly" by "R Kelly" [starts in "Ga" and ends in "Sa"] TAMIL 1. "Kanne Kalaimaane" of "Moonram Pirai" [starts in "Pa" and ends in "Sa"] 2. "Konji Konji" of "Veera" [starts in "Ga" and ends in "Sa"] 3. "Kannodu Kaanbathellam" of "Jeans" [starts in "Pa" and ends in "Sa"] HINDI 1. "Ye Dosthi" of "Sholay" [starts in "Ga" and ends in "Sa"] 2. "Ramta Jogi" of "Taal" [starts in "Ni" and ends in "Sa"] 3. "Baazigaro Baazigar" of "Baazigar" [starts in "Pa" and ends in "Sa"] The songs which do not follow this will sound incomplete at their end [The songs in other scales should end in the "root-note" of that scale, which is synonymous to "Sa", as it can be got by transpose]
