Don't get me wrong. Gabrielle is my favourite and always will be. But last night, Bree went above and beyond to make me forget her evil Republican ways as word got out that her husband Rex was in Maisy Gibbons The Town Whore's little black book. (As Edie would probably point out, there's a difference between a slut and a whore, cause Edie doesn't get paid.) She tried bribing Maisy to take her husband's name out. "Are you happy with your funny little story?" she asks her husband when word gets out about Maisy being arrested. "Don't take one more step, or I'll scream. I'll scream about your disgusting little need, and the whole place will know. So what are you having for dinner?" Perfect smile. Bree also stood by Gabrielle. "Good friends are there in crisis. Great friends don't take no for an answer." It looks like next week Bree finds out about her son being gay, and her perfect world will crumble just a little more. I wonder if he ever gets the handcuffs out of the dishwasher when Justin (Ryan Carnes) comes over to "study?"
Other highlights: Gabrielle stealing the PortaPotty was priceless. Lynette's kids had head lice, and Susan and Edie bonded. "I'm just lost and desperate," Susan said. Hmm, someone on a show called "Desperate Housewives" is desperate? "I don't want to date Mike, Susan. I just want to sleep with him. And I will," Edie said.
