Congratulations, Lynette Scavo on your victory. A year ago, Gabrielle Marquez Solis Slimeball Mayor would've been unbeatable, but marrying a Slimeball Mayor eliminates you from the running. However, even if Gabrielle hadn't kicked herself repeatedly, it would've been likely that Lynette would've won. This was her season to shine as she survived a supermarket shootout (while getting Crazy shot point blank), fought off a pediophile, quit her job to work in a pizza parlor and had an emotional affair but did the right thing by firing Assistant Manager Rick when she realised what was going on. Now, poor Lynette has to fight off cancer. What else is this poor woman going to have to face? But Lynette does it with aplomb and style. Plus, she's played by Felicity Huffman, the actress who can do anything. We're looking forward to watching her kick cancer's arse next season.

Character of the season
Orson Hodge is a man of mystery. He likes things tidy and organised like Bree, yet he has a rage that suggests he might've killed his ex-wife. But Alma came back to rape him, and he has a few mother issues. I bet Andrew thinks Bree is mother of the year after meeting his new grandmother. Orson got Andrew to come home, saved Bree's life, fell off a hospital roof and just plain rocked. Without him, Season 3 would've been a bore.
