Bree Van De Kamp
In all honesty, in the season finale, the men trumped the ladies. It was hard to find one that stood out above the others. After much delibration, Bree's performance and love for her husband won out. She promised him the best is yet to come, right before his doctor suggested to Rex that Bree was giving him potassium that could kill him. He wrote a note to her saying he forgave her...and then died. After hearing the news, Bree continued cleaning the silver, put it away, then broke down. Aww, Bree.
Other Highlights It's a shame John Rowland has a penis (and since he's played by Jesse Metcalfe, I'm betting it's quite the penis), or else he would've gotten Housewife of the Week. He is Character of the Week, having the balls to walk up to Carlos Solis in court and announcing "You beat up the wrong guy. Didn't you find it strange that you had the only lawn on Wisteria Lane that needed mowed three times a week?" Carlos jumped out of his jail, threatening to kill Jesse. Justin tried to protect his roommate (aww *wink nudge*), and the police captured Carlos. Gabrielle smirked. Elsewhere, Edie became suspicious of the new neighbour that moved in the middle of the night, Zach told Susan hostage which Edie misinterpreted as "Shove it up my WHAT?" and Mike found out that Mary Alice, not Paul, is the person who killed Deidre. Turns out Mary Alice/Angela and Paul bought the baby and rather than give the baby back, Mary Alice killed Deidre in self defense. Lynette found out that Tom quit his job, and Tom informed Lynette that she would be the one to go back to work and he'd take care of the kids. Sweet! Does he get to play poker now? Mary Alice reminded us that not everyone gets their happy ending...just as Mike goes in to his house where a captive Susan is being held by Zach, waiting to kill Mike. We'll find out in the fall what the hell happens from here.
