Gabrielle Solis wants to emerge victorious in the divorce settlement, winding up with Carlos' mother's pearls. Carlos reluctantly gives them to her in exchange for being able to attend Bree and Orson's wedding as Gabrielle's date. Gabrielle then gets pissy when Carlos dances with Crazy (Nora). Gabrielle yells at Lynette, who disappears. He tries to take the pearls back, and when they break apart and scatter to the floor, Xiao Mei decides to go into labour. Then, Gabrielle and Carlos are in the same sort of shock for the same reason as Brad Pitt when Devil Spawn was born: The baby's black. Apparently the fertility clinic made a mixup, and unfortunately for the Solis family, their baby was never conceived. Gabrielle also told Lynette she knew when a marriage was built to last, and Tom and Lynette's were. She then returned home to await for the divorce proceedings to begin.
Other Highlights Edie's hottie nephew moved in and made a bad first impression on Julie. Ian deserves an Oscar for making Susan likeable. He introduced Susan as a doctor (of stupidity?) to ComaWife's parents. The Dashing British Bloke then showed up at the wedding and made a toast to make Susan realise she should give love a chance. Lynette was happy when Crazy met a boyfriend, but when they broke up, Lynette tried her best to ensure Crazy met someone at the wedding. She saw a chance and introduced Crazy to Carlos. "He deserves it. He cheated on my friend." And Bree decided to believe Deranged Dentist Dude Orson after asking him at the alter if he killed a woman. She was shocked when police showed up at the reception to ask Deranged Dentist Dude to identify the body. Even Deranged Dentist Dude's former Nosy Neighbour Carolyn agreed. The body wasn't his wife's...but Orson called her "Monique." Uh...Bree? You need better taste in men. |
