2. We will need members to take turns through the month of August for survey's. You will need to mark the weekends of next month the 3rd , 10th 17th and 24th. We need your help to get this done, remember its a 2 day job each weekend so plan on at least one night in Victoria in August. This is also a good time to fix your feeders and stands.
3. Cleanup weekend, this will be October the 13th. This is a Saturday please make plans now to be there this a required weekend. All members are required to be at the lease on this weekend. If you know you will not be able to be there please make plans for someone to replace you. This is also the weekend of the Bocktober Fest a Texas concert in Shiner, some of us will be attending the concert after we have finished the cleanup that day. If you are thinking about going you may want to bring a lawn chair. I have been going to this concert for about seven years now and its alot of fun., just don't forget those are 20 oz cups of beer.
4.On October the 27th we will return to bring the rest of our equipment that we may not have been able to complete on cleanup weekend. This will also be the weekend we may rent a tractor to brush hog. This may be done opening weekend too., but I am open for suggestion, I would expect the brush to be pretty thick in some places because we have had a good amount of rain this year. The property is dry right now but that can change real quick.
5. Hey this is it, Opening weekend November 3rd, deer season starts. Remember this is a members only weekend and with the new land owner rule for the west end this should not be a problem. I checked the chart for the rut and we will be starting the season real close to the high point of it on the 10th the following Saturday. This will be your best chance of seeing the big bucks of the season. It is more likely if you don't it will be near the end of the season before they show up again. So be there and good luck to you hunters.
If anyone wants to attend this meeting with me send me an e-mail or call me. The South Central Lavaca County WMA will hold its annual pre-harvest meeting at 7:30 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2000 at St. Marys Parish Center, in St. Marys. A meal of stew and potatoes will be served after the business meeting. All members are asked to bring a side dish.

6. January 6th 2002, the last day of the season. Time to start halling all your stuff back home. Remember we want to board up all our goods this year and avoid a mess like what happened last year when the coons got inside. I hope by this time we have all had a great season a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. The last word here is to leave nothing but tracks and take nothing but memories.
Sorry not much here but past events you can see how we did things in past years. I may revamp this page and update the web site in the near future.
