COLE
HI!

I promised you pictures for the family reunion, so here they are! We are so sorry that we are not able to be there, but Cardinal Spring Training awaits! Cole wanted me to share some details of his life with his brothers and sister, so here goes....

Cole lives with his mom and dad in St. Louis County. He also shares his home with doggie brother Spunky (17) and kitty brother Merlyn. He gets along well with both of them, though he and Merlyn do like to torment each other (just like brothers!) I have to put an end to their games occasionally! His best friends are Sloan and Thorn, a Great Pyrenees and a German Shepherd owned by our son and his wife. Cole thinks they are awfully hairy greyhounds, but they have a wonderful time playing together!

As you can see from the pictures, Cole is a big (78 lbs.) beautiful boy - dark brindle with a white blaze, white toes and a white tip on his tail. He loves to hang out with mom and play with her and his "stuffies". He is in great health and very lucky he never raced. His trainer worked with him until he was almost 3 years old before giving up on him. His report was that "this dog won't chase anything even if you put it on his head!" Good news for his kitty brother and all the bunnies who live in our back yard!

Cole is extremely easy-going, but he absolutely hates bugs, water and wearing his coat. We tried getting him in a wading pool to stay cool in the summer, but he wouldn't have anything to do with it. He prefers air-conditioning. We did find out that he is a good swimmer, though. Last summer he fell in our son's swimming pool and just popped up, swam to the edge and pulled himself out. He acted like it was a great adventure, but I don't think he will get that close again! As for his coat, he is convinced that he cannot walk in it and would rather give up his walk than wear it!

I hope you have a greyt time getting to know each other and that we will have another opportunity to get together. If you have the chance, please send pictures and any stories about the family.

Ear scratches and tummy rubs to all!!
