Whitey goes to China

It is the rainy season March through May.  Most of the pictures are cloudy.  This is a park right across from our hotel in Daunguam.

Most of the vendors we visited made us signs like this one.

The Chinese are way in to presentation of their food.  All meat and fish that is served includes the head and bones.  This was a traditional Chinese meal where everything is placed on a lazy susan family style.  The host ordered for us so you never really knew what you were going to get.  This bird was carved out of a carrot.  The detail is incredible.

Not a great picture, but those are fish in the tank.  Many places let you pick your fish before you eat it.  I do not appreciate this as much as some might being that I prefer not to think of my food as being alive before I eat it.

Shark fins - I guess for shark fin soup.  Chinese people will eat anything - birds nest soup, larva, intestines, chicken feet.  Whatever.

I don't even know what this is - something gross I'm sure.

This is one of the factories we visited. In the back ground you can see the dormitories.  Most factory workers live in these - sometimes 8 per room.  They do not see there families often.

Lunch is over and everyone is cleaning dishes.

This is a new facility, but somehow it still looks 30 years old.
