Hueco Tanks
We start our journey near El Paso. Here we all are with Black bird, our new home. He is thirsty but good to us and comfy.

Our first stop is familiar and especially nice because our friend Josh is here too. Josh has a sweet temporary home.

Life on the road is slow but steady. Everything takes longer. Space is limited. We prepare all of our own food to save money. I don't really miss going out to eat. We go to the grocery often. We shower less often. Rachel and I love to cook. We are either doing the cooking or doing the prep work.
I think I have started to understand this living on the road thing a little more. I have to admit, it is scary to quit your job, give up your home, and say goodbye (for now) to loved ones. Topaz gets lots of attention and gets to run free so much. She likes the van and has claimed it as her own. Don't worry, any other dogs that try to come near this thing will be attacked!
