| Led down a garden path I am a Community Midwife in England and during one of my visits to a small village went to see a lady who had just had her 3rd child. When I left the house one of the children wanted to show me her animals in the garden. Not wanting to upset her I followed her out to various outbuildings & sheds where she showed me her rabbits, guinea-pigs and yes, you've guessed it, chickens! Well that was it! several days later I went back to collect 4 golden silkie bantams and never looked back. Usually I get lots of lovely little gifts such as chocolates, flowers, cards etc but the best to date are the hens! (feel free to use). Jane |
