Character Profiles

Here, in alphabetical order (with the exception of Chickenman who's listed first), you can find all the background details you'll ever need to know on every Chickenman character.

Name: Chickenman
Background: Chickenman is the star of the comic. He began in issue one as a 'proper' superhero, but in issue two his love of alcohol first emerged, and it became clear that while 'under the influence' he was what is best described as a homocidal maniac. This may not have got in the way of his career if he could keep his alcoholism under check, but unfortunately he's been permenantley pissed ever since.
Chickenman's past is stooped in mystery, or more accurately I've never got round to making one up. Quite why he is half chicken half human has never been looked into in the comic itself, and the two reasons shown in other Chickenman art are somewhat contradictory. Chickenman's parents were originally drawn as two demi-chicken creatures such as himself, but also produced since then has been an animation cell which depicts his father as human, and his mother as a normal chicken, indicating his dad is what's best described as a "chicken fucker" (by the way, this idea was not stolen from South Park, with the cell being produced some time before the relavent episode aired).
At some point he married Chickenlady (a wedding photo can be seen on the wall on the last page of issue one), a female version of his species. This, along with the fact he has an aunty and uncle of the same species, indicates that his kind are fairly common (this being backed up by no one being shocked at the sight of a chicken-human hybrid).

Name: Adolf Chickler
Background: So far remains as a concept character, having never been used in an issue. The concept of his existence is based roughly on Adolf Hitler and Chickenman somehow switching bodies due to an experiment of Hitlers, involving technology he obtained off aliens by trading Jews, going wrong and causing an abnormality in the space time continuum. This is another example of popular TV shows ripping off Chickenman, as a recent episode of the X-Files featured the same idea, originally thought up by Cheezy and Kett in a history lesson in year 10 (1997).

Name:Alan Cash
Background: Still only a concept character, made up by Andrew Kett in a particularly boring history lesson. Alan Cash is terminally depressed and tries to kill himself at every opportunity.

Name:Aunty Mable
Background: Chickenman's aunty. She is of the same species as Chickenman, and along with her husband, Uncle Roy, runs a farm. She speaks with a stereotypical farmers accent and takes great delight in supplying her hugely overweight husband with a constant supply of food prepared with her own equally chubby hands. She still treats Chickenman as a young child, annoying him greatly with her speech "Beer's not for little bois". Wears a shapeless flowery dress.
Appears in issues: Uncle Roy 1, Spider Comics Team Ups 1

Name: Bugs Bunny
Background: You all know who he is. Famous for outwitting dim-witted hunters, but he's not so smart when facing a drunken Chickenman. HAHAHA!
Appears in issues: 1, 2, 14, Birthday Special 1

Name: Chickendog
Background:: Was found by Chickenman in issue one, where he was floating through space. Nothing is known of what happened to him before then. His eyes seem to operate completely independantely of each each, and are never both looking in the same direction. He fits in well with Chickenman's lifestyle, often eating the body of Chickenman's latest victim, making a handy way of disposing of evidence. Has also been seen eating the empty beer cans that fill Chickenman's living room on one occaision, but doesn't do this regularly enough to be particularly useful. Apart from attacking Chickenman twice he is usually completely uninterested in whats going, often sleeping upside down while battles rage around him. He is also Chickenman's favorite form of transport, as he is often ridden like a horse.
Appears in issues: 1, 7, 8, 13, 14, 16, 18, 19, 20, 23, 24, 25, 28, 29, 30 - Spider Comics Team Ups 1 - The Many Beers Of Chickenman 1, 2 - Birthday Special 1 - Christmas Special 1

Name:Colin
Background: Remains a concept character. Created by Steven Creasey, Colin is constantly in a zombie like state while trying to solve mathmatical problems that are two complex for his puny mind to cope with. He also appears to have no legs, though that could just be the way Creasey drew him.
Appears in issues: None

Name:Creasey
Background: Creasey is a mysterious character. He takes great offence to any personal slander and dislikes it greatly when Chickenman decides to kill him.
Appears in issues: 14, Birthday Special 1

Name:Creasey's Calculator
Background: A calculator belonging to Creasey. As it has a face, arms and legs it can presumably talk and run about, but is currently a concept character and will probably stay that way.

Name:Daniel

Appears in issues:

Name:Davis
Background: Davis, instantly recognisable by his huge head, glasses and spots, was first seen in issue four, where he caught Chickenman's attention by having an even higher (and even more unjustifed) self opinion than Chickenman. As a result Chickenman decided to kill him. He inspires the same instant hatred in everyone he meets, and as a result has been killed many times and is a favorite target for casual kick-ins.
Appears in issues: 4, 14, 16, 25, 28, Birthday Special 1

Name:Elvis
Background: The mystery of whether Elvis is alive or not was solved in this issue. It emerged he was still alive, but had been kidnapped by aliens who turned him into a potato, presumably for some bizare purpose. However, Chickenlady mashed him up and cooked him. According to Chickenman he was "delicious", no doubt due to his high-burger diet.
Appears in issues:

Name:Evil Cat Lady
Background: Evil Cat Lady is a violent psychopath who enjoy's playing with her victims before slaughtering them. This is what she was doing when Chickenman first met her. Taking great offence to her "fun" being ruined she turned her attentions to Chickenman. A bloody fight ensued, in which Chickenman came very close to death. However, before she could deliver the final blow Chickendog came to the rescue. Following his canine instincts he decapitated the angry cat and ate her head (as dogs often do). Evil Cat Lady was then not seen again for sometime, due to being dead and all, but was brought back to life in "Everyone Goes Crazy" to try and kill Chickenman. This time she went for a more stealthy approach, disguising herself as a blind gentlemen by putting on dark glasses and a false moustache. Despite this shoddy disguise Chickenman was fooled, but her plan backfired as the dark glasses impaired her vision so much she really was walking along blind and was hit by a truck while Chickenman helped her accross the road.
Evil Cat Lady is supposedly based on Elena Judd, though unlike most other Chickenman characters who have real life counterparts, neither her character of physical appearance have any grounding in real life whatsoever.

Name:God
Background: God first appeared in "The Death Of Chickenman". After Chickenman killed Satan and became the Devil he then challenged God to a fight. Thinking it would be an easy battle God excepted the challenge. Being 20 times the size of Chickenman, God decided to simply stamp on him. Unfortunately God's love of designer labels proved to be His downfall, as when His Nike Airs made contact with Chickenman's trident the air bubble burst and God was catapulted to His doom. Chickenman then became God, but the novelty of being all powerful quickly wore off, so God was given His old job back in exchange for Chickenman being granted a kind of immortality, in that whenever he died he would be brought back to life upon request.
God has been a semi-regular character ever since, and over the issues His hatred of Chickenman has become increasingly apparent, and He has tried to kill him on several occaisons out of pure malice. He keeps his word though and has also revived Chickenman countless times. It has also emerged that God spends most of His time watching TV and has a dog called Hubert.

Name:Good Carlsberg Chicken

Appears in issues:

Name:Hamster Boy Roy
Background: Hamster Boy Roy remains as a concept character created by Creasey and Cheezy. Rather unusually for a concept character he has quite a detailed background. This is due to one particularly boring biology lesson in year 10 (1997) where Cheezy, Creasey and Gareth Burrell decided to fill in the information section in the back of Cheezy's homework diary in the pretence it was actually Hamster Boy Roy filling it in. Based on the diary entries (which Cheezy still has in his possesion), we know that Hamster Boy Roy is an unsuccessful womaniser (declaring every night to be "ladies night", where the females of the species can gain entry to his bed for no charge, with the first ten shags being free. Unfortuantely for him no one ever took him up on the offer). As a result of this Hamster Boy Roy instead occupies the long nights by heading an international conspiracy to destroy the worlds cat population.
His daytime activities are rather more mundane (perhaps even venturing into the realms of the nerd). His time is divided between playing Warhammer against himself and making trips to the library where he can (literally in some cases) digest the latest novels.

Name:Jennie The Racoon
Background: Jennie The Racoon began as a very friendly Character and upon meeting Chickenman decided he seemed to be a nice chap. Unfortunately the fact she could only speak racoon meant Chickenman couldn't understand a word she was saying. As he had a reputation as tough nutcase to protect he decided to beat her up in case she was insulting him. Being hit on the head with a oversized novelty hammer displeased Jennie The Raccoon and a fight broke out. When she ate Chickenman's eye he decided things had gone too far and killed her. She was seen again in the next issue "Everyone Goes Crazy", where she was revived by Devil Lady as part of a plot to kill Chickenman. She was posing as an Alcoholic Banana salesman, with the plan being to murder Chickenman with the aid of a poison banana. Not recognising her, Chickenman took the banana without thought and gulped it down. Unfortunately Jennie's greed and foolishness proved to be her downfall as she gave him the wrong one and ate the poison herself. Silly racoon.

Not all of this information is technically accurate in real life, it's merely how the characters are portrayed in Chickenman (though this is based on how the people really are, so the previous statement is a lie, but necessary to avoid getting sued).
