Waterproof Video
National Geographic needed a waterproof video camera on short notice to mount on the helmet of an extreme river rafter.

Gray PVC isn't pretty but it is strong and was on my stock shelf in large quantities.   Clips for the two halves of the housing were not attached yet when these pictures were taken.  The recorder fits in a waterproof box.

Oddly, the sizes of PVC I had on hand fit the camera perfetly and I even had an exactly correct-sized o-ring.

This was designed and built in less than an hour.
Protects against splashes and dunks in the river.

The back is recessed to allow mounting bolts for the helmet.
