| What is the Triwizard Tournament? Straight from the book---- "The Triwizard Tournament was first established some seven hundred years ago as a friendly competition between the three largest European schools of wizardry: Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang. A champion was selected to represent each school, and the three champions competed in three magical tasks. The schools took it in turn to host the tournament once every five years, and it was generally agreed to be a most excellent way of establishing ties between young witches and wizards of different nationalities --- until, that is, the death toll mounted so high that the tournament was discontinued. There have been several attempts over the centuries to re instate the tournament," Dumbledore continued, "none of which has been very successful. However, our own Departments of International Magical Cooperation and Magical Games and Sports have decided the time is ripe for another attempt. We have worked hard over the summer to ensure that this time, no champion will find himself or herself in mortal danger." pg. 187 ppb copy -- Goblet of Fire So basically, it's a tournament between three schools of wizardry.. -Beauxbatons (French) --Durmstrang (Bulgarian) ---Hogwarts (British) One student will be chosen from each school, and all students MUST BE seventeen years or older (17 is adulthood in the wizard-world.) They all must complete 3 tasks held over the entire schoolyear, and judges will rate them 1-10 on how well they completed them. And of course, 3 schools will be watching. So moving on.. What happens... Fleur Delacour, Cedric Diggory, Viktor Krum, and of course...Harry Potter are all chosen. Fleur Delacour: School: Beauxbatons Age: 17 Eye Color: Green Wand: Rosewood containing a Veela hair; 9 inches Fun Facts: Fleur is part Veela; and has a younger sister Gabrielle. Cedric Diggory: School: Hogwarts (Hufflepuff) Age: 17 Eye Color: Gray Wand: Ash containing a single hair from the tail of a male unicorn; 12 and 1/4 inches Fun Facts: Captain and Seeker for Hufflepuff house quidditch team; Hogwarts Prefect. Viktor Krum: School: Durmstrang Age: 18 Eye Color: Gray Wand: Hornbean and dragon heartstring; 10 and 1/4 inches Fun Facts: Seeker for Bulgarian Quidditch Team (not the school...the country.) Harry Potter: School: Hogwarts (Gryffindor) Age: 14 (wtf, right?) Eye Color: Green Wand: Holly containing a single phoenix feather (from Fawkes!!); 11 inches Fun Facts: Youngest ever Triwizard champion; Seeker for Gryffindor house Quidditch team. Harry Potter....? You might be wondering, how in the hell Harry Potter was chosen when he is only 14 years old? I'm not gonna spoil it for you. All I will say is someone is not who they really are at school. They submitted Harry's name into the Goblet of Fire, and he was chosen. It was the first time anyone had seen Dumbledore so surprised. Also, a Veela are supposedly the most beautiful women. Their skin is moonbirght, and they have white golden hair they make men (and prolly lesbians) focus on nothing but them. So basically every man and lesbian...well, here's somethin from the book. "The Veela had started to dance, and Harry's mind had gone completely and blissfully blank. All that mattered in the world was that he kept watching the Veela, because if they stopped dancing, terrible things would happen." pg. 103 ppb copy --- Goblet of Fire Yeah, I think this is enough information...
