Webster Schroeder
Senior Ball 2003
"I'll Stand By You"
First of all, a note of apology to everyone who's been waiting forever to see my senior ball pictures, but I've been having some trouble with Yahoo! Geocities PageBuilder, but now that I have that conflict resolved, I'm proud to present (finally) the pictures of the Senior Ball.  There are actually more pictures, but they were badly developed, so I'm going back to get them redeveloped.  If anyone is willing to scan those when I get them redeveloped, let me know.  For the group shots, if you want to see the full-size pictures, just click on the pictures.

A lot of you may know that I "imported" my date for the second year in a row, but it was well worth it.  I was actually at the RIT Insights Program and the Computer Science House sleepover, and saw some guys that I wished I could take to my senior ball.  When my original date fell through because he had no money, I asked Chris to be my date (besides, he volunteered to come to Rochester from Pennsylvania for the event).  After careful planning, the big day finally came.

Now, I must tell you another story leading up to the night of the ball.  Sara's date also fell through, so Margie asked me to find Sara a date.  Thinking of my RIT buddies, I thought of matching Sara up with Cody, since they both like Anime (sorry I don't have accent marks on my computer).  I guess they talked a few times online, but it was going to be a blind date, since neither of them would meet until the night of the ball.  Then we ran into a problem.  All guests coming from outside of Schroeder needed to have a guest form.  It turns out the date of the ball that no one had gotten ?Cody's guest form in the mail.  Panicking, I asked Mr. Specks what to do, and he said to talk to Mrs. Palmer.  I went to the Hair Zoo to get my hair done, planning to go see Mrs. Palmer after my hair appointment.  Unbeknownst to me, Sara and Margie had gone in ahead of me after their hair appointments to talk to Mrs. Palmer about Cody.  They were able to provide very little information, so Mrs. Palmer would have to interrogate Cody when he got to the ball.  Mrs. Palmer also said that Sara was brave for going to the ball with a blind date.  So I went in after my appointment to talk to Mrs. Palmer.  The first thing she said was, "OK, who's this Cody guy?"  So I told her what she needed to know, and she proceeded to call the school.  She told me I could go home now and sit down and relax; if I invited him, then he must be pretty good.
