| MARCH 2002 CLUB NEWS |
| This fishing season seems to have wonderful weekdays but the fronts moving in just before every weekend thus far. But despite the windy conditions, the lake being up several feet and the water temps not warming up to where they should be this time of year, we had a wonderful turnout. With our club already having the highest membership in four years, 28 people turned out to try and conquer a muddy McGee Creek on March 23, 2002. If this second tournament of the year shows anything, it is that people are wanting to get out and fish. We have had 10 new members to the Chickasha Bassmasters this year so far and are expecting a couple more. We would like to welcome the following new members for 2002: Steve Jacks Robert Adair Ron Brown Joel Jacobs Bill Froh Allen Wilson Scott Dutton Danny Mathews Lenora Wilson Robert McWaters The fishing was tough, but rewarding for some. There were 17 bass weighed in that went a total weight of 23.24 pounds. Tom Rickey had 3 fish that nearly guaranteed him his first place winning with a weight of 3.98 # for a prize of $211. Lynn Conaway wasn't far behind with her first money win with 2 fish that weighed in at 3.38 # earning her $119. $ 74 went to Jason Conaway for third coming in just behind his partner & wife with his 2 fish weighing 3.19 #. Bill Froh takes fourth place winning $ 45 with his one bass that went 1.93 #. $140 was the prize amount for the big bass of the day being awarded to Jason Conaway, weighing in a largemouth that barely beat out Bill's weighing in at 1.99 #. 1st TOM RICKEY 2nd LYNN CONAWAY 3rd JASON CONAWAY 4th BILL FROH BIG BASS JASON CONAWAY |
